I bought three compilations including the one on the youtube link Toodles posted months ago and these kick major ass. I have to agree I love glam metal way more but the little known 70's glam bands kicked major ass. Bands like the Jook, Erasmus Chorum, Iron Cross, Angel, etc. RPM records put out three comps of little known 70's glam bands. I'll have a listen to the T-Rex recommended. I think Mott were a pretty class band in every stage, and I've heard lots of songs from different albums that I like, which makes it harder to decide. Roll Away The Stone is amazing, as is The Ballad Of Mott The Hoople, and All The Way From Memphis etc. But they're from all different albums. </p> <p>As for me, I love all the songs off All The Young Dudes. Jerkin' Crocus is great. It sounds a bit like Brown Sugar. I also really like Sucker and Ready For Love. These are the first of the glam albums, and the first utilising the electric guitar. I've only just recently discovered them if I'm honest. I agree though, that All the Yound Dudes is genius right the way through. I'm just getting into T-Rex right now, they're great but I don't know as many songs by them as I do by the other glam bands I worship. At the moment it's Hot Love, Ride A White Swan, Get It On and a few others, but I'm well aware that these are just the popular ones and I'm only scratching the surface. Any recommendations?<br /> And which do you think is the best Mott album? I actually don't know much at all about 80's glam and hair metal. I think on this site there's obviously a preference for it, which is cool, and it seems like amazing music, but personally the glam I know is exactly this kind. Bowie is one of my favorite artists of all time. Mott The Hoople are also right up there, plus Iggy and T-Rex, and Lou Reed. I've seen the Dolls (sadly in their more recent incarnation, e.g. mostly dead.) and they were still amazing. And I like some art-rock/glam as well, like Roxy Music. Bowie takes the lead, it must be said. The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust is such an incredible album.
