Last week there was a burned out mustang on the second hand sale for 6000 euro's!! California dosent get the snow or road salt that rusts cars out. They buy these things, then off to New York and off to Europe with them to some buyer there. I guess back when communism was the law, these cars werent aviable so now the europeans pay big money for american cars. Some guy called Hans came up to me at one of these gatherings and offered me 10,000 USD for my car. I turned him away, my heart just wasnt in it. Ive had it going on 8 years ... I just couldnt sell it knowing its going to get shipped off the American roads. I spent my college / uni money of a 1966 Pontiac GTO convertable. It was fun and FAST. That fuel gulping 389 Cubic inch, V-8, the three 2 barrel carburator motor with posi-traction and a 4-speed stick shift got me into lots of trouble. It was just too much car for me. When I was 18 I was racing against another kids 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle , I skidded and wrapped my Pontiac around a tree and over a fire hydrant. At that point I figured muscle cars arent for me. That was back in the days when these cars were everywhere and could be bought cheap, I think I got mine for about $2000, spent my college/uni savings on it. It was nice, bucket seats, air conditioning .... </p> <p>Today I have a 1962 Buick Skylark. Its not a muscle car but I still get looks in it everywhere I go.
