I recently experiemented with an alternative way of wearing my stilettos by wearing them with black socks to make them look more masculine. I found it to be a success because my ugly toes weren't showing and it was more comfortable to wear them. Never have liked them. Whenever I want to dress outrageous or whatever (cant do much living with an ultra conservative mother)my shoes of choice are my 3 inch high Beatle Boots; yes these are the same kind of boots The Beatles used to wear in their "mop top days". They are mens boots as well. I have worn them a lot during the summer because they are so awesome! I don't follow the seasonal fashions, I just wear what I want to wear. And now for my personal favorite: my 4 inch open toe high heel pumps. Yes I am a guy that enjoys wearing high heels and NO I am not a transsexual. Nikki used to wear them, so can I lol. I enjoy them because they are so much fun to walk in and they are comfortable. When I walk in them, I don't strut of course, I just do what I call "walk like a king" after all kings from the 1500s to the end of French Revolution wore high heels. My mom does not allow me to wear them because she claims that men do not wear high heels, but I don't give a shit. So I have been wearing them out in public secretly hiding them from my mom. Nobody really cares much, I just get odd glances a lot lol so classic. I am just trying to do my own thing and I enjoy it. My friends seem to like it.
