I know that Motley Crue got sick and tired of making everyone else rich around them, so they sued their record label over it. Now, I'm not sure how they did this because when ever a band signs with major label, the label wants the master copies of everything, but some how Motley was able to get back all their original work and master copies. Part of the agreement that Motley had with their Label prevents them from talking about how they did that. Their label knows that if everyone knew they would be royaly screwed! The Business side of things is really dirty, you really have to have trust worthy people around you and you really have to know what your getting involved with. When I found a place and found out what the price was I said no way. Then I started searching the net for it, and actually found it in Europe for about 1500 less than what they were selling it over here for. Music is a funny business in a sense. It seems like if your not screwing someone than your getting screwed. Rudy is by no means a saint himself. Kevin Dubrow once said that Rudy is really good at playing other peoples stuff thats why he was in ozzy, whitesnake, yngwie, etc. Hell most people dont' even know this but even on the Metal Health album the cover song Cum on Feel The Noise, Rudy didn't do the bass line for that song at all, it was done by a basses that has been in and out of Quiet Riot for years, Chuck Wright. When Rudy first left for Whitesnake Chuck Wright was brought back, and even later in the 90's and 2000's when Rudy and Kevin began to have thier falling out Chuck was brought back. I think he even was the bass player on the Quiet Riot 3 album that was released with Paul Shortino on lead vocals, I'll have to check to make sure cause its been a while since I listened to that one. </p> <p>Rudy is by no means a slouch though, he is very good at what he does. To me Rudy joining Whitesnake showed how good he really is for the simple fact that David Coverdale has always surrounded himself with great musicians. Steve Vai, Vivian Campbell, Adrian Vandenberg, Tommy Aldridge etc.<br /> The one book that I have yet to read that I'm looking forward to reading is Rudy's book called Off the Rails. Its about his time with Randy and Ozzy and all the crazy things that went on in between. Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake ended up sueing the Osbournes for royalties and songwriting credits in the mid 80's. I'm not sure how long the case acutally carried out but I know they eventually sued the Osbournes again in the early 2000's for unpaid royalties. The Osbournes decided to re-record their parts in 02 and re-release the two albums Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman without Daisley and Kerslake playing on them. Its weird too think about that cause too me that just kills the magic of those albums. I'm grateful that I don't have those re-releases. I think that Ozzy had Mike Bordin playing drums and Robert Trujillo on bass for those re-releases, that to me just sounds horrible. The only guitarist that the rumor I read mentioned was John 5, but it said that it was still up in the air. And you have to remember these are just rumors.
