Because Glam Rock took Proto-Punk, Psychadellica, Space Rock and Rock and Roll and added it to the misanthropy and the image, and created Glam Rock. Proto-punk and Rock and Roll was fused with Glam Rock and Punk came about, it ended the dying phase of 70s Glam Rock, and put an end to the ever growing-further-up-its-backside Prog Rock, and brought us right back to Rock and Roll, but much darker and just as needed!
