Bowie Does Bertold Brecths Baal

IF A WOMANS THIGHS ARE AMPLE I SHALL WANT HER IN THE HAY

Not as a starter, though, ahhaha. I'd say start off with Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs, as has been said all through this.

OR, get The Ziggy Stardust Motion Picture Album if you can find it - the last gig as Ziggy Stardust, with excellent versions of songs from both his early stuff and his glam period.

My favorite album is Aladdin Sane. Not knocking Ziggy Stardust at all, it is on my top. But I love the re-issued version of Aladdin Sane. The man is awesome talent, even if all his stuff isn't glam, think about the Goblin King~

I just learned something today. Everyone else probably already knew it, but David Bowie was actually born David Jones. During the '60's (possibly because of the fame of Davey Jones of the Monkeys)he changed his name to David Bowie.

I have always loved Bowie...this time of year makes me remember, didn't he do a duet with I think Bing Crosby? I'm sure it was a Christmas song...Little drummer boy maybe? It was really good, and quite a contrast (duh) between the two...Does anyone else remember this?

I'm fine with "long" movies. I tend to get annoyed actually when they're less than two hours long, unless they're really bad.

Guess that shows how old I am. I saw it at the theater when it first came out. You really should watch it. Although I don't know how enjoyable it would be today. Lots of the movies made during that time just don't play well today. And if I remember correctly, it was a long movie.

This has nothing to do with the question about his music, but did anyone see his movie "The Man Who Fell To Earth"? I think that was the name of it. It was a long time ago. He was an alien. Not much of a stretch of the imagination. Strange movie, but pretty good at the time.

David Bowie has always creeped me out in a good way, that voice is just uggg, no words to explain it. And yes Scream Like A Baby, thats alittle on a creep side too, which just makes its all worth while with his vartions between creepy, weird, fun and so on.

The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars
Aladdin Sane(Cracked Actor kicks ass, lots of sliding notes and crunchy guitar with a Hollywood theme)
Diamond Dogs
And while not considered part of his Glam "phase", Scary Monsters & Super Creeps has some Glam themes and musical parts, and a nice dark dissonant Glam song called Scream Like A Baby.
