80s Bon Jovi = Awesome. How could you ever ignore Slippery When wet?

90s Bon Jovi = Still good & the way they reinvented themselves whilst every other glam band either tried to go alternative or whatever failed. Keep the Faith & These days were all good albums

2000s Bon Jovi = suck. I mean they had a few songs here & there but overall this period was a disappointing period for Bon Jovi musically. Trend followers wth hardly any guitar solos makes me very angry. Latest album sucked, have a nice day sucked. Lost Highways was decent,Crush was boring wth only a few good songs, Bounce was ok but once again continuing on no real major solos.

I saw them recently & they were quite good,I just got switched off whenever they played their songs from 2000s

Bon jovi is a great band and one of my favourites, obviously they were a lot better in the past but they still rock, too bad that they abandoned the glam look and attitude, and some days ago i saw an interview with richie sambora on youtube( i dont know were the interview was made, but i think it was here in brazil in their last tour)and looks like he has shame on bon jovi's look in the 80's.

I'm a Jovi fan for sure. Not so much of their latest stuff, but I can't blame them for going a different route. My only gripe about that is they shy away from the 80s image thing. So what? So what if you had long hair and wore spandex? Are they going to do the same thing 10 years from now about their look now?!? I saw them in Nashville for the Bounce tour, and without a doubt, it was the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to alot. They know how to bring it live.

I like some of the newer stuff but nothing beats old Jovi!!! I don't really think Bon Jovi went country...In an interview I saw They said it was an experiment and older bands such as themseleves need to experiment something new. Plus Jon Bon Jovi is BEYOND HOT!!! and Richie Sambora is pretty cute!!!

I've got 7800F and Slippery When Wet. Both are pretty good. I think I prefer the 80's stuff to some of the later stuff I've heard. Not that it's bad, but with hard rock, I guess I just prefer the 80s style.

Standout tracks: Price of Love, Tokyo Road, Hardest Part is the Night, I don't wanna fall (into the fire), Let it Rock, You give love a bad name, Livin' on a prayer, Raise your hands.

Decent band, they've always had a knack for crafting a catchy tune.

I used to like Bon Jovi. I appreciated them much more back in the 1980s. To be honest, nowadays I cannot take them seriously as "rockers" anymore. Once they started making appearances on Oprah, Ellen and American Idol, the whole Bon Jovi thing was ruined for me.

"Lost Highway is one of my favorites by them. I thought the album with the least amount of appeal to me was "This left feels right." I'll agree, their new album has some country feel to it but its still Bon Jovi and they still maintain who they are on it. I like that they aren't trying to stay stuck in the 80's. Its the bands that do that grow stale and lame IMO. Open up your musical horizons alittle, if you can do that you'll like Lost Highway."
- JerseyBoy

JerseyBoy, I hear what you're saying and I know what you mean. But I think a lot of people do have broad musical horizons and that they lsten to a wide variety of music and artists. If I want to listen to a bit of country, I will put on a country artists album. If I want disco, I'll put on a disco artist. If I want a great commercial hard rocking glam rock, I used to able to put on a Bon Jovi album, but for the last 18 years I haven't been able to do that. Bands that try to be too creative and move with the times end up losing a lot of their fan base and that's what has happened with BJ. No doubt they're still million sellers, but I think they should get back to what they were good at.
