you guys might think this is pretty dumb, but i thought itd be pretty cool if we all named our favorite singer from the 70's,80's and 90's and why there are favorite...now for me my favorite from the 70's of course is bon scott(R.I.P) because if his vocal power and his charisma, from the 80's id have to sat vince neil just because hes a great front man and can and has an impressive vocal range, and from the 90's its layne staley(R.I.P)and i just love the way he sang and the harmonies he came up with were pure genious

From the 60s id say Jim Morrison of the doors. Excellent singer and songwriter/poet

Toss up for the 70s ... Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd or Joey Ramone. Great showmen

From the 80s id have to say either axl rose or ozzy osbourne. Never a dull moment with either. They shit they did on and offstage was friggin funny as hell. Great singers to boot. Honorable mention to Ronnie Dio. He was far and away the best songwriter of the decade. The albums Holy Diver and The Last in Line after all these years still kick ass.

Rock/metal lost its way in the 90s so that decade up to now is weak.
