    Though this might be fun;
    Isn't it amazing when you see a rocker from the past and immediately think, WOW ! they look freakin' awesome! Or on the flip side, 'WOW, dude what happened'?

    Clearly in my opinion some of the 'still got it category' are;
    Brett Micheals
    Sabastian Bach
    Jon Bon Jovi
    (this list i think could get long i'm just starting it to see how many we can find)

    The What happened Dude? category;

    David Lee Roth (borderline)
    Gene Simmons (would he fit here?)

    What do you guys think?

    #1 on the "still got it" list is Sebastian Bach. There's just no arguing that point. And, adding to the "what happened dude?" category would have to be Jani Lane of Warrant (Yikes!!).

    Bach still has it, Bon Jovi is starting to lose it but is OK, Brett Michaels is...ehh.

    David Lee Roth beats the tar out of Sammy Haggar, even now. Then again, I never liked Haggar to begin with.

    As for Gene, he's alright I guess. Too bad he doesn't really have much inspiration anymore. He's one of those old folks who keep making music, just to make it. Much like Ozzy and the Stones.

    Poison as a whole still has it as does Bon Jovi, Cinderella etc..

    As for who doesn't I would say Tuff. :D

    Not sure what you mean by "IT" is it the ability to still play and perform well, or the ability to still look hot for the ladies, or a combination of both?

    Well I meant a combination of both really. Hard to still have 'it' (looks) at 50, but with their money, plastic surgery baby! And sure many have used that to maintain the image.

    David Lee Roth kinda still got it, IMHO. Gene Simmons does good for his age, and is quite the business man if you watch his reality show. And Bach, oh yes still got it alright. :)

    Gene Simmons has definitely lost it. His reality show is good, but you can tell it is scripted. Jani Lane has lost it as said before.

    Having seen and met a few of them up close:-

    Bas - got the looks and the voice
    Stanley - same - but wears a wig
    Sixx - the same and then some! - He looks f*ckin' good (and I'm a straight guy)
    Gene - lost it visually, but he still looks a lot better than your average 58 year old
    His singing voice is a bit shot now, though

    One's I haven't met face to face:
    Bon Jovi - looks and sounds good still, but lots of 'work' gone on
    Bret M

    Having seen and met a few of them up close:-

    Bas - got the looks and the voice
    Stanley - same, and he is really fit and healthy - wears a wig
    Sixx - the same and then some! - He looks f*ckin' good (and I'm a straight guy)
    Gene - lost it visually, but he still looks a lot better than your average 58 year old
    His singing voice is a bit shot now, though. But who cares when you have his money and fame?!

    One's I haven't met face to face:
    Bon Jovi - looks and sounds good still, but it looks like there is lots of 'work' gone on
    Bret M - Still looks great. He's always seen in a cowboy hat, bandana or a wig though. His voice hasn't been great on some of the live stuff I've heard lately
    Diamond Dave - Looks fit still. HAsn't seemed too worried about covering up his receding hairline. Still sounds good - he was never anything but an average singer anyway, but he was one of a kind and an awesome front man. I'm just waiting for the bootlegs of the latest tour to start circulating - can't wait!!

    Here's one just a little outside of the box - Rick Springfield (who did start out in the early 70's in a glam band called ZOOT). I met him a few weeks ago and he looked sensational.

    I don't know about glam, but Steve Tyler never lost it. The man is hotter now than when he was in his twenties!

    I thought Gary Cherone was hot with Extreme. He had gorgeous hair. I love hair. When they "Van Halen-ed" him he lost a lot of presence...but the man can sing his ass off.
    I thought he did an amazing job at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

    You know who lost it? Steve Priest of the Sweet. He was awesome in the '70s but after the decline of the band he just stopped caring about music. He plays, he has a big fan base and his fans adore him. Good enough for him, I guess. Sometimes rock legends just want to be regular folks. Can't blame him for that!

    Steve Priest is a living legend, no less than Eddie Van Halen. In his day, Steve was the craziest f#cker to own a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. What he bought to Sweet was remarkable. Great musicianship, wonderful vocals and those strange voice effects he did like in Blockbuster, were nothing short of brilliant.

    He was nothing much to look at in his day and neither was Andy Scott. Legends of this calibre were never judged on their looks. Just the mark they left on the world and in Steve's case, he is one of the true kings of glam no matter how fat he gets.

    Bow to the great man,
    Steve Priest

    Are you joking? That guy was hot in the '70s. And, yeah, he is a living legend. I just recently read his book "Are You Ready Steve?". If you haven't read it...get it. It's wild.

    Used to believe that Brian Connolly & Mick Tucker were the ones that chicks liked best. Thanks for enlightening me. Time for more red wine I guess.

    Glamster, you should really get that book he wrote. Unless you already have it...

    Man, Steve Priest was Awesome in his day! The costumes he wore were even freaky by the glam rock standards back then!!

    Gotta agree with Glamster that Sweet were one of the few bands that could back up their outrageous immage with brilliant musicianship to match. But it is always the LOOK that gets people into glam. If you appreciate the music once you hear it, then that's good, but Glam was and is always about the image. That's what makes it Glam, Glam Rock & Glam Metal - otherwise it's just plain Pop, Rock & Metal...

    Gary Cherone with Nuno Bettencourt were great as Extreme. Gary still has the presence but cut his hair way down. I used to love Cherone's hair. He's doing solo projects now. He sounds good! Nuno still has presence too. Hair's not the same either. He's with DramaGods now. Still looks good.
