I have seen KISS more than any other band.....first KISS tour was 83 I THINK or 84...I forget.....at the Philadelphia Spectrum....seen them on both coasts, mostly in the Los Angeles area and I continue to attend KISS Expos, and I was at 2 Paul solo shows in 89 (but I missed 2 chances to see his latest solo tour,in Atlantic City and in Hollywood...grrrr.

Other than that I have seen Ozzy maybe 5 or 6 times, from 1982 until....I forget. It wasn't Ozzfest,I never attended any of those yet.

But I went to see lots of hair bands in the 80s....and I have been trying to catch shows the last few years too.

    KISS = 9 times

After that I'm not really sure but just off the top of my head I've seen Motley and Poison 3 times each, Ozzy and Stryper twice each and I can't even count how many total concerts I've been to. When I graduated in 1990 I had all my ticket stubs in my year book but it got ruined in a basement flood and turned into a brick. It was horrible! I couldn't even open it!

This thread makes me hate you guys! Occasionally halfway decent bands come thru my country, but they usually only play in Auckland, and I live like 8 hrs drive away, and am poor  I've only seen a handful of cool overseas bands which I will now list for your amusement....

    Guns N Roses
    Skid Row
    Ministry
    David Bowie
    Motorhead

Freaking boring, eh? Another stink thing bands do is tour with awesome support acts till they get to Australia, then ditch the support acts for local acts! Bastards! Bowie did it, toured the whole world with The Dandy Warhols, who I would love to see, then left them in Aussie and got some 18yr old NZ RnB singer as a support act, same with MOtorhead, they had the fucking CRUE and didn't bring them here fuckitall

"Personally monsieur," said Poirot, "I don't give le fuck."

You shouldn't talk to me. Find better company. There's better people to know. You'll only end up like Rimbaud. Get shot by Verlaine...

The band I've seen the most is my mates band who I mentioned in another thread called The Cunning Linguists. I must have seen them about a dozen time altogether, plus once since they got a new lead singer and changed their name to Siam.

Next to them, it has to be Sweet in various guises. I should have seen the definitive band (Andy, Brian, Mick and Steve) back in 74 but the gig was cancelled, so the first time I ever saw any of the guys live was about 82 when Brian was going solo and was support for Pat Benater at the City Hall Newcastle. He only did three songs though. Hypnotised, another solo song of his, and Windy City.

I saw Brian again about 1990ish at a nighclub called Henry Afrika's in Stockton-On-Tees when he was performing as BC Sweet. We didn't know he was ill at the time and a lot of people thought he was drunk, but he still performed brilliantly.

The next Sweet gig I saw was just after the release of Sweetlife when I saw Andys Sweet perform at an old aircraft hanger in Thornaby-On-Tees. They had been supported by T-Rextacy and also some band put together supposedly from the film The Commitments, though I believe that only one member of the band was actually from the film.

Jeff Brown was on lead vocals at Thornaby, and he was again when I saw them a second time at Bradford, so I make that about 3 and a half times I've seen them.

Van Halen x3. Seen 'em once w/ Sammy (2004), and twice (both last year) w/ Dave. Dave fucking killed both times. Eddie did pretty well too.

None, because noone good comes here. Lol.
I've seen lots of emo or punk rock bands though.
Also for example, my favorite band, Guns N Roses,
I suppose they're still around and of course I'd go see them
if they came here, but I'd probably cry seeing as how Axl's old now. :[

I've seen Vains Of Jenna though, but thats only cause I have connections with them.
And it was completely a one time thing, seriously, noone good comes to upstate New York.

    Wow!
I'm impressed just as much by the number of times you've seen him as the fact that he's not in a hospital for those odd gun incidents awhile back.

    Hitting Birth.
A local band of mixed genre, which I auditioned for, jammed with, roadied for, then put up a myspace account for 10 years later.
I would have to sit down for quite awhile to figure out how many times I saw them, but they put on some really amazing shows and played some very powerful music that no recording ever really captured properly.
I'm guessing I saw them more than 20 times, less than 30.

    But otherwise:
Sweaty Nipples-again, hard to say exactly..a local Punk/Funk/Metal/Rap/Lounge/Party band, now best known because Davy Nipples is married to Storm Large, I'll say "in the teens"
    The Cure-7 times
    Morrissey-4 times
Bauhaus-3 times, not counting seeing Love & Rockets once, and Peter Murphy solo twice..but I see them all as sort of a family.

    Freaking boring, eh?

    3 out of 5 isn't bad...
And you later mentioned a local band...so I'll give you 4 out of 6.
The Dandy Warhols began their existence practicing in Hitting Birth's basement at The Ranch(it's pictured in my link).
Fun band...and I saw them open for one of the other bands I semi-listed(Love & Rockets).

Think it's Kiss (1980-1999) followed by Queen (1979-1986)...Or it could be Status Quo (1981-2005)...

Wow, you guys have impressive lists. I haven't seen anybody more than once. Actually there have been a couple of country and other genre performers I've seen more than once, but nothing you guys would care about. The really great concerts, I was lucky to see once... VanHalen, Journey, Queen, Poison, Warrant, etc.

I have never been so lucky to find one just one band or just one person that I could see a ton over again. I would love to see Alive Cooper though the closest I have came is visiting his place in AZ where a ton of other bands play. :D

Hmm, probably Redd Kross. Saw them 4 or 5 times around 92-94. Saw the Manic Street Preachers 4 times in the Richey-era (but haven't seen them since).
