SINCE THEIR HAYDAY, A LOT OF 80'S BANDS HAVE PUT OUT C.D.'S IN RECENT YEARS..SOME GOOD, SOME NOT SO GOOD. WHO DO YOU THINK STILL HAS IT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, THAT JUST KEEPS PUTTING OUT GOOD RECORDS. I LIKE TO THINK L.A. GUNS, SKID ROW, WARRANT, AND A FEW OTHERS ARE STILL REAL GOOD.

i dont know bout warrant still being pretty good but i think sebastian bach solo album is pretty rad, and also im VERY dissapointed with poison's latest album, Poison'd
i know it seems like we are never coming back. i know it feels like we r never coming back. you tryed ur best and you knew it wouldnt last. they were the words they wrote on her casket!Posted 4 years ago # -
The last Warrant album didn't really do anything for me. Skid Row without Bach isn't really Skid. That's just my opinion. Bach's solo album kick some ass though.

I finally found it at HMV...... gotta agree. Picked it up on Sunday, and gave it a couple thorough listens..... I love "(Love Is) A Bitchslap"....

Not many are still putting out music in the same way. I grew up idolizing Def Leppard, but i dont like the music as much. I still love the old stuff, ie. Foolin, Rock of Ages, and i think the new song, cover of an original, 20th Century Boy kicks ass. But the rest i dont think sounds the same. Maybe i am getting to old for it. But, Queensryche is still awesome. So i would say Queensryche is the best. But 80s metal still and will always ROCK!

POISON. Even though their last album was all covers, they still got the 80s fun & excitement in their sound.

Saw Great White on Saturday, they've still got it musically and the new stuff rocks too.

Warrant and Poison still release good albums

Hanoi Rocks last three albums are great. In terms of 80s band members, Steve Whiteman of Kix continues to put out awesome records with Funny Money, and I enjoyed Ex-Shotgun Messiah man Zinny Zan's 'Zan Clan' comeback album. W.A.S.P. are a bit hit and miss but Blackie does still come up with the goods from time to time. That's all I can think of at the moment, but there must be more...

Iron Maiden, W.A.S.P., L.A. GUNS, Sebastian Bach, Manowar, Great White, Hanoi Rocks, Scorpions, King Diamond, Megadeth, these are a few that I can pick up a new album and really enjoy!

Crue, Poison, Warrant (sanz the Aint) are still rockin'. But, I am really kicked by the all-star bandz some of these guyz have formed. They, often, are even better than the groups that they made it with. . . . Also, Alice Cooper still rockz! I know there are lots more, and after all this is the year of reunion tours!

Iron Maiden bar none, they are my fave band and though not hair metal...definately my no1 (alongside Skid Row and Motley Crue of course!)...
Posted 3 years ago # -
The first one that comes to mind is L.A. Guns. They released an album in '05 called, "Tales From The Strip", and even without Tracii, I think it's their best since the 80's. Other bands that still release good albums are; Dokken, Whitesnake, now Motley Crue, Krokus, Iron Maiden, Warrant, Saxon, Great White, Scorpions, Quiet Riot(their '06 release,"Rehab" is good), Hanoi Rocks, and Sebastian Bach, among others.

hey RATTs just gone on tour and hanoi rocks are back and weve still got all the kickass bands around(GNRs aside)

The new Hanoi Rocks seems great. Sebastian Bach's Angel Down was good but I wish it was more in the hair/party style than modern Metal.

"HELLO!!! OZZY!!! OZZY!!!OZZY!!!"
- OzzyGurlwhat freaks me out about Ozzy is that he talks and you can barely understand him.. and then he sings and it's like heaven.

I've never liked Ozzy... I'm always like "this guitar is good but I don't like the vocals".

So True about the Reunion tours!!!And Of course Alice still rocks look who one of his Guitarists is the wonderful Keri Kelli!!"Crue, Poison, Warrant (sanz the Aint) are still rockin'. But, I am really kicked by the all-star bandz some of these guyz have formed. They, often, are even better than the groups that they made it with. . . . Also, Alice Cooper still rockz! Motley Crue hands down - Saints Of Los Angeles is awesome.
Posted 3 years ago # -
man i think saints of los angeles is terrible, it sounds to modernized, like todays music, it all sounds the same to me, they need to be Motley Crue and SOLA doesnt sound like them...to me at least..
worst album ever =(

Bummer, sorry to hear that. I gotta say that your the first person to say to me that SOLA is terrible. I'm not saying SOLA is their greatest album, in my opinion Dr. Feelgood is. There are some catchy songs like "Saints Of Los Angeles" "MF Of The Year" and "White Trash Circus," to name a couple. I like the fact they (Motley Crue, mostly Nikki) wrote these songs based on "The Dirt."

House of Lords consitantly put out great albums.and going back to true Dokken form,I believe that Lightning Strikes Again will bring back a great couple new albums for Dokken in the next 10 years.I've seen Warrant and Poison, and they've still got it.Warrant is in the studio with Robert Mason rite now.Born Again was pretty good if u can get over the fact that its not Jani singing.robert mason is a good vocalist, and on Born Again,u can tell that erik and joey r still rocking the Warrant signature licks.so on that,I believe the next album will be great also.poison needs to get something out soon tho before brett gets too much in bad shape with his diabetes, reality shows, and appendix stuff.and also,id like to say that slash, duff, izzy, and steven adler all still got it.I say they put together a band themselves with duff singing, cuz he really is a badass singer.Love his Believe In Me album.great stuff

I though W.A.S.P's newest album was pretty cool.
