    Van Halen has been a major disappointment ever since they fired Dave in 1985. Im sure ill buy the album but I dont have high expectations with it. The last great VH record was 1984, and even that wasnt their greatest work.

    Van Halen 1 still MUST be played loud

    Just heard the new song tattoo on the radio. The music is great. But it dosent flow with Roths voice at all. The musics beat is way off from Roth. Hard to explain but I think it would be better without Dave on it.. that was just this song. The rest of the album may not be like that.

    I don't really like "Tattoo" that much. I'll check out the rest of the album when it comes out just cause it's Van Halen.

    I've listened to Tattoo and all I can say is that it sounds like something VH pulled out of their asses at the last minute. The video clip contains a bunch of random shit and is worse than the song itself. Why are the lights flashing constantly? What, is it some sort of rave? why is there a dog in the background? why are their balloons? It makes no sense. I thought the song was supposed to be about some tattoo.

    Also should bring back Michael Anthony. Eddie's son looks like he can't wait till the video shoot is over so he can go back to his x box.

    I'm a great fan of Van Halen (both david and sammy) though this new song is so disappointing that I feel like punching my ass. Sorry.

    Kool and The Gang are supposed to be the opening band on the US leg of the tour. Holy shit !

    If this turns out to be true Van Halen is a concert I can afford to miss.

    Thats probably because all the songs on the album were written in the late 70's.

    I like the album, I got it yesterday. The first time I heard Tattoo I hated it, but after listening to it a few more times it grew on me. I think it was more to do with the shitty video for it, it sounds better when you're not watching the video haha.

    The dog might have something to do with the dog barks during one of the songs, I think its Bullethead. Albums are made to be listened to in the entirety, not single songs. So that might have something to do with the dog being in the Tattoo video.

    But I do agree that the Tattoo video is pretty shit. But the album fucken rocks.
