I wouldn't exactly consider him glam..maybe his hair but he is an amazing guitarist and he was great with GNR, Snakepit, and more recently Velvet Revolver, and he's worked with so many different artists. He's still rocking and kicking ass and he's hot to top it off :P

I first heard of Slash when he performed a spanish song with this chick called Paulina Rubio. It was pretty cool to see him there with this latina just rocking on.

Slash remains one of the best guitarists in the world today, but I honestly did not care very much for Velvet Revolver. Guns N' Roses and Slash's Snakepit on the other hand...I enjoyed his work with them a lot.

Yeah. I thought the first album was good but the second I was kinda bored with. I love his sound in Snakepit and ofcourse GNR I thought was amazing.

He is a very taleented guitar player but i would agree that he was better in snakepit and Guns n' roses. Velvet revolver was too grundge sounding for me

I don't know if I'd call him Glam, but, yes, he's graet on the guitar & yes, HOT! Plus, I've just heard on a VH1 show he was a contender for Poison before they got CeCe! Imagin that! 8O

In his book he talked about the Poison thing and he said he went into the audition with moccasins on and completely didn't fit in and I also heard they wanted him to bleach his hair or something and he was like no thanks lol

I always loved the way he could come on stage wearing just Adidas sneakers and shorts. And he still looked cool. Not to even mention how great he plays guitar, I love his solos and all.

My nasty reputation takes me everywhere. :D

All my time here,I can't believe I missed the slash thread....well,the man deserves the utmost respect.from everyone.no one should ever talk shit about him cuz he is a staple of rock guitar playing.and is one of the most unique guitar players as far as image goes.

I saw him at Download last year, I actually had a full on fan girl crying moment when he broke into Sweet Child O' Mine! Lucky I was wearing sunglasses... so I don't think anyone noticed :p

    He just oozes coolness :p

Well, he was funny when Guns N Roses played here way back when. My neighbors sister worked for the Concord pavilion here and she did security. Since she hates metal/rock music she is cueless to rock bands. She likes classical music. When I asked her how cool is was to meet Slash when she was working the Aerosmith/ Guns show she only said she dosent know who or what a slash is but the man with the hair and top hat was a nice person to chat with.

Has anyone got the new Slash Deluxe Edition CD

3 extra acoustic songs with Back From Cali (my fav from the album), VR's Fall to Pieces and GnR's Sweet Child of Mine

Also there is a DVD on making the album.

    Pretty good stuff

I haven't, but they showed a live acoustic gig with Slash and Myles from when they were here in Australia on Max, which had those songs, and I (think) I've seen the making of on youtube.

Saw Slash's snakepit when they opened for AC/DC here on the Ballbuster tour. They werent half bad either. I didnt care for Velvet Revolver at all.

But thoes times I saw Guns N Roses live .... first with Aerosmith, then 2 years later with TSOL and again with Metallica were golden moments. I still have great memories of thoes concerts

not too sure I can agree on this, after seeing him at download and listening to songs like Back from Cali / By the Sword and Ghost .... it's restored my faith somewhat after VR.

Despite him just doing some Disney crap he's still pretty much the coolest person on the planet.
The newest stuff kicks ass, and Myles is a perfect fit for a vocalist, so hope he sticks with him doing songs from GnR, SS, VR and the Slash album.
Agreed that he's awesome to his fans...saw him playing in Birmingham a few days ago and he came out to sign stuff afterwards so I got him to sign a rubber duck :P
