Ok, let the arguments begin lol. Im just about to go see Skid Row and im so excited. I dont care that Bach isnt there, i actually dont mind the new albums that much and the new singer has a good voice but looks like im going to the gig myself since the general feeling is there now just a kareoke band. What does everyone else think?

i think igt's up to you what you like...and don't let anyone get on your case about it...i really enjoyed it when i saw Andy Scott's Sweet...even though i'm a Steve Priest fan...and lots of people got on my back about the lack of original members...i hope you enjoy yourself.

I've been privilaged enough to see both line ups of Skid Row many timez, there is nothing wrong with the Johnny Solinger line up of the band his vocalz suit the new heavier stance that Skid Row have taken. Hope you enjoy/enjoyed the gig let us know how it was.

i think that ever sense sebastian bach's absence from skid row...that band has never been the same and never will be....bach was the TRUE voice of skid row...to try and replace him seem's disrespectfull and very pointless

Lets just say it was one of the best gigs ive been to recently! Band played for nearly 2 hours (40 mins after the club curfew)! The guys seemed to be loving it too much to leave! Even had Rachel singing The Ramones Psycho Therapy! The crowd interaction was amazing and they were laughing the whole time. Made me happy i decided to miss the Sex Pistols! If you get a chance to see them i recommend though i think the Glasgow crowd really made the best of the night. Something a bit magical happened last night! Just a shame i missed my last train lol!

I'm too young to have been able too see Skid Row's original line-up live. But i did see them at Sweden Rock Fetival this year.. And i can say that they kicked ass there too.. But
then i just love Skid Row so it might have been a different experiance for the others =)

Everyone thought the same thing. The people on GlamRock.com are just great.

L-JGlitter, glad to hear that you had a great time. Skid Row are a sensational band.

Yeah, it's a tough call. Bas is definitely the 'voice' of Skid Row, but then again Snake & Scotti are definitely the 'sound' of Skid Row.

I've seen the band with Bas upfront when they toured Oz with GNR in '93 and they kicked ass (they even kicked GNR's ass).

Since then I've seen Bas's new line up with Metal Mike playing the solo's and it doesn't sound quite the same. And I've only heard the Solinger fronted Skid Row and that also doesn't sound the same, so it's an even score, really...

It's hard to get used to changes in band members. You always think no one can take the place of whom ever it is that's left. But usually as time goes on, everyone adjusts to the new sound.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I'm glad you didn't let anyone talk you out of enjoying something you like.

No one liked it when Halford left Priest, and Ripper took over, until Rob came to his senses, and Judas Priest members burried whatever issues their egos were causing.

Halford did better with his 3 projects than Priest did without him.... IMHO. Well, except some people REALLY hate TWO... lol ........ but I like it.

Glad you had a good time, L-J....... :)

I really enjoyed the Solinger lineup when I saw them. It may not be Skid Row of old, but Solinger is a great frontman and sings the newer SR stuff with such conviction that he won me over easily.
