To go back to the classic style rock, with the bands from the 80s and new bands that have that sound. Because there is still a huge audience for it, as proven by events such as Rocklahoma, and major bands like Poison, Van Halen, etc are still selling out shows. (I could go on forever about this! But I'll stop now...haha)

Well ALL my CD's are priceless to me!

I think it is definately one of them.

depends...some people download legally, some people download illegally because they love the band and/or can't actually find the music anywhere else and some people just download illegally, but they won't stop just because it's illegal will they?

To stop being buttholes and leave the artists to their own devices, I understand it's their money and their putting up a risk, but that didn't dissuade the record companies 30 or 20 years ago to hold the artists in a iron vice and from putting out consistently good albums. Quit putting out trash with only one good song on a waste of plastic where the rest of the songs are just over blown filler. We need more melody too dammit!

It helps with exposure for sure. It doesn't overly harm financially either because recording artists get so little from record sales. I dunno, I guess if someone downloads a couple of songs to see if they like it then buys an album I guess that's helping financially. Personally I prefer buying records from independant or unsigned bands because they get more of the money. Gene Simmons is plenty rich enough.
