I'm sure most, if not ALL of us have seen the doc "Heavy: The Story of Metal". But for those of you that haven't, I'm posting the best installment of the 4 part doc. EPISODE 3 - LOOKS THAT KILL.

Covering the rise and fall of the 80s glam scene.

    Highlights:

**The story of Quiet Riot & the first #1 metal song.
**The emergence of Motley Crue & their demo video playing "Take Me To The Top".
**The P.M.R.C. battles w/ Dee Snider.
**The evolution of the Power Ballad.
    etc., etc., etc.

If you haven't seen it, check it out! If you've already seen it, watch it again. I never get tired of this episode...Enjoy. Remember it's required viewing! :)

Hollywood Rocks is a good movie because it goes deeper into the genre. I bought the book w/ the movie. Too bad the shipping is taking long :/
I didn't really like Decline tho. It was a good movie, but gawd the Glam folks made total asses of themselves. I don't understand why people see that movie as a Glam "classic", somebody who is new to the genre and beginning to get into it will be disgusted by watching that movie. I downloaded it from YouTube in different parts and put it in a disc to let my friends borrow it. They didn't think it was "cool", they thought the Glam people were stupid and funny, sadly, they were right. The Glam people were very funny indeed... except they weren't being funny on purpose. :|

I'm with you on that one, Toodles213. "Decline..." focused on the negative. They put a magnifying glass on the glam rock party at a time when all that was left was the ugly, obnoxious, 'power-drinkers' that nobody could get to leave...

The Chris Holmes segment was sad.
**Downing a bottle of Vodka sitting in a pool at a party: Very rock & roll!
**Downing a bottle of Vodka sitting ALONE in a pool w/ your heartbroken mother watching: PATHETIC!!

Paul Stanley & Gene Simmons also come across as total douche bags.

Awesomeness! Another film Metal: A Headbanger's Journey. It is about the whole metal tree taken as a whole. The segment on hair metal is interesting, I posted it on my topic "Make up Why do Glam guys do it?" This doc adds a whole bunch to my knowledge. Thanks for posting!
