KISS's Sonic Boom ....WOW!!

    someone leaked the cd today, and I told myself I wouldnt do it, but I did. I heard the whole thing, and people, we all know Gene talks out of his ass 99% of the time, and he said sonic boom is the best kiss album in 30 years.....he's right. KISS might have just recorded the perfect album in sonic boom. I'm still buying it in october though :)

    LOL...i just tried to pm you, and I got a popup saying I need a post count of 100 to do that.

    I was pm'd the link at the kissfaq message board, but I didnt save it. sorry. I think the link might have been removed already. u might wanna try a google search. the admin at the kissfaq has removed all posts requesting the link. although he was nice enough to let the posts go for a few hours first. if I run into it again, I'll let you know.

    oh, are ya a member of the metalsludge board? you might score the link from someone there.

    im so jealouse you guys, wanna hear it too!!! but i aint no good sneakin around finding things on the internet lol, so that will have to wait, but patiende is not my strongest side!! but i did buy a KISS t-shirt today to feel better hehe :mrgreen:

    well I heard that all links have been removed from the internet. I read that someone close to KISS's management team leaked it. he's probably gonna have to start saying "would you like fries with that" for a living now..lol

    Bought the "deluxe" version on Saturday and it's a great album. The boys are definitely back in town! Great riffs, great hooks, plenty of solos by Tommy Thayer, enough variety in the songs... Some instant favorites: Modern Day Delilah, Never Enough, Yes I Know.

    They sound very much alive in 2009. It's lean, mean rock'n'roll. Not bloated and tired like some of their fellow ageing rockers sound like.

    As extras you get the Kiss classics CD which is basically a re-recorded greatest hits. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, as it doesn't really add anything to the original versions. Just a current take on those songs. Take it for what it is. The delivery of the songs is done with conviction though in a way only Kiss could do it.

    The second extra is a DVD with 6 live tracks. It's nice, but it's not the kind of quality video you'd get on a live DVD you're paying for. Considering they're extras it's OK.

    Overall, I'd say that even if you've only got the slightest intrest in Kiss: go and buy this album. It rules!
