I dunno, Cindy?...Don't think they quite fit the genre of hair band. Great band and singer, but they didn't really have the image or attitude of the hair bands we all know and love...

i liked them when they were more of a progressive band before steve perry joined, as well as everything up to departure. i know the had of bigger hits on escape and frontiers, but i think they kind of lost their edge after gregg rolie split. i think the toned their sound down too much, and with steve perry gone, i think his voice was too unique for anyone to just try to replace him with someone else.

Fellas need to grow back their HAIR!!!!!!

To be fair, Neil Schon (sp) is still pretty hot and the new singer does a pretty good job trying to replicate Steve Perry.

I liked their hard stuff the best.I may still have some cassettes I taped from the radio of concerts,but its out in Cali not here

oh hell yea dude!!! i mean i really dont feel that journey fits the "hair band" category but steve perry is my fuckin idol!! such an amazing voice...i love his solo stuff too....im hoping for him to reunite with journey but it might not happen.... ...its nice to know there are other's out there!!

Journey is apparently touring this summer (without Steve Perry)... They're playing the big amphitheatre here with Heart and Cheap trick. Cool show!
