    Where's the GNR topic people?!
    (Unless I missed it...)
Anyways, GNR is my favorite band.
Lots of people say they weren't really hair metal.
I think they were. Just not the Motley Crue/Poison type.
So let's show some love for GNR?

You should find it and watch it. It's really a good one. They look so young! I haven't watched the music channels for a long time either. I watched VH1 Classic for just a while tonight. I got to see KISS, OZZY, GnR, SIXX A.M., QUIET RIOT all in a row. I'm going to start watching more often. A lot of the stations started playing crap so I quit watching. Finally they've come around to my way of thinking!!

oh...i wish i had VH1...it's so much better than the 2 i get...it's all the contemporary rubbish...apart from the odd time you might get a show on the 70s or 80s that misses most greats out...i'm thinking of getting onto them about doing a specific glam one though...what do you think?

Yeah they're amazing! Tracii made it with LA Guns though! I think they're both very successful bands!

Gunners were my first real big show, I won tix by writing a shitty short story, and rode up to Auckland on a bus full of pissed bogans... i was sweet sixteen, and fucking scared out of my wits! Awesome show, it was on Axl's 30th birthday. He changed clothes so many fucking times, and even wore an All Blacks shirt! I still can't believe my mum let me go, fuck she even jacked up the transport!

"Personally monsieur," said Poirot, "I don't give le fuck."

You shouldn't talk to me. Find better company. There's better people to know. You'll only end up like Rimbaud. Get shot by Verlaine...

Skid Row played in the support slot, I was struck by just how tall and blonde Sebastian Bach was... ah, great days! :D

How many people are in GNR now? 8? It's crazy - but I like it. Not many other bands would get away with having such a big line-up. Besides, you can't beat Robin Finck,,,even if he does look like a hobo! :D

Guns were great when they hit. I still listen to Appetite and still think it is one of the best albums.

My friend is going to see Velvet Revolver in Minnesota. I'm jealous! I like Velvet Revolver and I'd definitely go to see Slash, but nothing could compare to the original GNR!

And yeah, I heard some of the new "Guns N Roses" songs, and I hate them. I don't like Axl's voice anymore (or how he looks now lol.) I almost started crying when I heard the new Guns N Roses because I miss when they used to be together, and when Axl had that sweet fairly high voice and even sweeter face....*sigh* But ya know, people change. Guess that's life for ya.

Yeah, it is. I've heard it, I can't seem to form an opinion on it just yet. I'm too in shock from Axl's voice. Lol.

I saw Axl about a year ago, with Sebastian Bach, and Axl really did suck. I was expecting it, i went mostly for Sebastian. Axl was a jerk, seeing as everyone there paid money to see him, and he hardly talked to the audience and mostly stared at the ceiling while he sung. Not to mention his voice.......and the corn rows lol.

Man, i'd kill to see the gunners back in the day....thats when they really put on a show

This fire is burnin' and it's out of control
It's not a problem you can stop, it's rock n roll!

Well Guns N Roses is my favorite band. Allways will be. Just sad that i am too young too have seen them in their original setup. Why couldn't i have been 18 or so when they hit it big :( .

Ahh Sleaze, I know just how you feel.
I was not even born in the 80's,
    and I didn't discover GNR until I was about 11 or 12.
So by then, I think they had broken up.
It's really depressing because they are my favorite band ever,
and I don't know if the original band will ever get back together.
Also, I was SOOOOO in love with Axl when he was younger,
and it makes me sad that there'll probably never be another Axl Rose....

I discoverd Guns N roses by accident while i was listening to my sisters old tapes. She was a huge fan of GNR in the 80's 90's. So it's all thanks to my sister that i started to listen to them :) . But sad enough i'm the only one among my friends hwo think that they are the greatest band ever.

So you were 11 or 12 around 1997?

They won't...The bassist Ole Beich is dead, after all. And when was Rob Gardner seen last?
