im not looking for huge lists of bands you think other people dont know or something i just mean is there 1 specific band or album you loved that wasnt among the big boys.
for me its the first kingdom come album.
i know they are a blatant wannabe zeppelin but i love that album.
cheap tricks very first album! he's a whore, elo kiddies, and hot love and the rest of that album rocks. and also sweet desolation blvd, give us a wink, and off the record, songs like action, set me free, stairway to the stars, teenage rampage and hellraiser rule! and don't forget their greatest hits record!
"I even had a little mini skirt and waistcoat made for Wig Wam Bam. The skirt was so short, my undercart hung beneath the hem. I thought it best to keep my underwear on"-Steve Priest
Cinderella's Still Climbing!!
Yeah, they're heard of
but it's so fucking awsome
didnt get what it deserved when it came out
sad too, because Tom had gone through so much for four years so he could sing on that album
I think that White Tiger was awsome too! Showed the real talents of Mark St. John! Before he died (ON MY DAMN BIRTHDAY this year) well, anyways, its a good album! They have some songs from it on youtube
although they'd left glam, and almost left the scene by 1982..i love what i've heard of Sweet's Identity Crisis...and they relesed it in a similar way to Sweet Fanny Adams...no singles..and even though there was only 3 of them, i love that album...because it reminds me of things i've felt.
krokus's heart attack was a fucking killer album dude...it shouldve went straight to number one its got kick ass songs like let it go, wild love and bad bad girl...it really piss's me off that the album didnt go to number one !
" into the flood again same old trip it was back then "
Has to be between Kix, Wrathchild or Jetboy. 3 amazing bands! Ive recently come across loads of bands id never even heard of that could easily have gave the big boys a run for there money. especially around the time grunge was coming out. Shame that killed off most of them
Not a band but an artist, and he's called Russ Ballard. I bet very few of you here have ever heard of him, but you will realise know him well through his music once I've finished this article.
Originally he was in a band called the Roulettes who were the backing band for Adam Faith. I believe Adam was his manager after this and he worked with a lot of other artists that Faith was in charge of like Leo Sayer and Roger Daltrey.
Ballards major break came as front man of the band Argent and he wrote their hit single God Gave Rock And Roll To You, which was of course later covered by Kiss.
He also wrote Liar for Argent and that was covered by Three Dog Night, and he wrote a few songs for a band called Hello including New York Groove which Ace Frehley covered later.
After leaving Argent he has since released a good number of albums, some of which are brilliant, but his most famous work is songs that that have been hits for other bands. I doubt anyone on here will argue against him being just a bit special when you see the rest of his portfolio.

I was going to run with Blackboard Jungle or Rock City Angels but I think for the amount of music they put out there, Kix should be on the top of the list.
For me it's gotta be Soho Roses...they have just released evrything on one cd...however..do ya'selves a favour and track down the vinyl versions as they sound way better! Re-mastered bollox!
Other bands that are well worth a listen...Last of the Teenage idols...Gunfire Dance...heartbreak Angels...i could go on and usually do
