Clapton, Randy Rhodes, Nuno Bentancourt, Eddie Van Halen, Brian May... it's a huge list and a tough job. Fortunately, these days, not too many guitar gods out there. Mr. White & Scott H. Birham and stand up.

The album that he does the Crazy Train instrumental is pretty cool. He does an instrumental of Dream On and few other cool songs.

That's pretty awesome, I love the way he did that unlike how Malmsteen killed Crowley.. the vocals were good but Randy's guitar is so much better.. well personally to me, because I know the story behind Randy and the lead he plays and I'm sure you do too.

George Lynch did a cool version of Mr. Crowley that I kind of enjoy. I think its on the will work for food album. He covered a few more songs on that album too. Its a sweet Album I like the two songs he did with oni logan too, especially love in your eyes, the solo is really awesome.

Too many to mention - Nuno Bettencourt, Yngwie Malmsteen, George Lynch, Jake E Lee and Vito Bratta spring to mind and I always liked the riffs and solos from Doro Pesch's band 'Warlock'. Oh yeah and the Skid Row guys.

Again the choice of guitar sound is as important to me as the actual playing...

I've heard it, its not bad. I was never really that big on Hendrix but its a good cover. I love a lot of Lynch's music, I like the song he did with Tony MacAlpine, Tears of Sahara and Love In Your Eyes he did with Lynch Mob that was released on the Will work for Food album. I love No Bed Of Roses that he did on Wicked Sensation, the solo is really killer. Have you heard Love In Your Eyes yet? I should get you a link to that song.

Yep, I've heard those. I like Hendrix, but he's probably a bit over-rated in my opinion.. But Tony MacAlpine is one of my favorites, and he and Lynch together are amazing.

I saw Tony MacAlpine, Steve Vai, & Billy Sheehan when they came together on Vai's tour about 3 years ago. They came to the house of blues in Cleveland. It was a great show and the talent that those 3 have is amazing. Vai was great, he took someones cell phone from the audience asked the person why they weren't at his show, then proceeded to tell the guy on the phone that Joe Satriani sends a personal invitation to his show the next time he was in town! Vai has a lot of personality, he really kept the show fun.

Ha! Wow, I haven't been on here in forever..
but that's pretty cool. Vai seems to be a preety cool guy.
I thought it was great when the guys from That Metal Show were talking to him about Satriani being in Chickenfoot and he goes "Well Roth used to be in Van Halen and Joe and I seem to be attached at the hip, maybe we should get together and form Cockhead and go on tour with Chicken Foot."
