I thought Extreme were glam. Not a lot of flash, but great hair. Long. Gary Cherone had long thick wavy hair with Extreme. Nuno had long shiny hair too. Who else thinks that Cherone and Bettencourt had excellent stage presence? I think they were pretty glam!

I once had a guitar signed by Paul Geary. The guy whom I bought it off didn't know who he was.

Let me tell you folks, a guitar signed by a drummer is worth the same as a guitar with no signature on it at all.

Real good live band. They could definitely didn't look tough, but I am not sure they would be what I consider glam.

Roody said :but I am not sure they would be what I consider glam.

When Extreme's self titled debut album came out in 1989, glam was it's death throes and what the hair bands were doing at that stage is probably making matters worse for themselves by relying on "power ballads" to feed their lifestyles.

By the time 1990 rolled around and Extreme released their hit album Pornograffitti, they were shedding the glam for a mainstream hard rock band but retaining the glam hair. No more headbands, spandex or makeup for for them. Them and Mr Big we carving out a new post glam niche.

I can understand why you don't see them as glam because by 1990 and beyond, they weren't but retained some glam influence.

Check them here on their first album.

As a footnote : Paul Geary is the guy in the pic that looks out of place. Can you identify who he is?

    The one with no headband?
I see Gary Cherone, I see Nuno Bettencourt...is Paul Geary the one by the window?

What about a drumstick signed by a drummer? What's that worth? :-D

well, yeah but Andy is still a living legend. Unfortunately Mick Tucker is just a legend. So a drumstick signed by Mick Tucker would be...priceless!

    Gary Cherone is a sweetie.

Some of these guys sign autographs at some of the KISS Expos.

I absolutely LOVE Pornograffitti. You wanna drag my ass on the dancefloor, just spin Get The Funk Out.

Its also good performance artist or stripper music ;)
