    is it eddie's eruptions or steve lynch's hammerhead thats the best of the two cause i cant really chose ?

    Definitely Hammerhead. Lynch was a much better guitarist and Eddie could never get over that. Autograph opened for van halen once and Eddie told em that they werernt allowed to play any tapping solos. Typical Eddie Van Halen.

    well it think eddies better cause hes a real pioneer ya kn ow he invented tapping but steve however,sometimes he'll use all 8 fingers and ive never seen anyone else do that not even eddie himself and i honestly think steve shouldve played in a more popular band such as ozzy or some fuckin thing ya know ?...even tho i love autograph

    I understand where you're comin from, but I'm kinda glad he was in a more unknown band. It makes him stand out more. If he was in ozzy or a similar band he'd get overshadowed by the other great musicians. Either way they're both kick ass guitarists!

    indeed, both lynch were verry gooood!
    SO was eddy. The best of these two..... hmm i vote for lynch because his solo is much hardere technique then eddies.
    Also in eddies solo i hear a lot of classic music influence and pieces while hammerhead is more unique of its own.

    That said i think the best tapper is still reb beach. He uses his tapping as en extention from his left hand. Runs up and down. and its not anoying. More musical while both solo's in this topic anoy me after a while because it's allmost like a nintendo on to much voltage.

    This is what i mean ;) So much feel and melody
