    Hey Aniseed,
that is a good ear you have to pick up the simialrities of the Hellraiser and Kickstat riffs. Motley Crue did it like that on purpose as a tribute to Sweet, whom they all love. In the early days they also opened some of their concerts with the same recorded theme music (I think it's called 'The Stripper') that Sweet used to open their shows with before ripping into the Hellraiser riff!!

I'm also a fan of the Wig Wam Bam opening riff - so yes, I'm another Bammer! :-)

All the choices so far are good! I'm gonna add some more to the mix:

    KISS - Detroit Rock City
    KISS - Deuce
KISS - I Stole Your Love
    KISS - Love Gun
    KISS - Cold Gin
    KISS - Got To Choose
KISS - C'mon And Love Me
    KISS - She
KISS - Shout It Out Loud
    KISS - .....

Sorry, i'd better stop - I've only gotten past the first 6 studio albums!! :-D

btw...Stanley...when you say i have a good ear...i have a teensy confession, my ear was listening to a Sweet interview before it listened to Kickstart for verification...lol...but it's possible i would have noticwed eventually anyway, as i have started to pick things up on my own now anyway with other songs.

It would have to be "Mr. Scary" as played by George Lynch of Dokken... They would use that song to open their concert, or as a brutal segway into any killer tune. Every time I hear that to this day, it makes me want to slam a shot, do a line, scream at the top of my lungs, and jump off a building!! Mr. Scary for sure.

The Sweet always did have great intro's, whether it was a siren like on Blockbuster or a "YAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" followed by a bomb going off like in Hell Raiser, or a great drum solo like Ballroom Blitz, but I always liked Andys guitar riff, accompanied by Steves Bass line of course, following on from the kids shouting "We want Sweet" in Teenage Rampage.

I also like Sweet Child Of Mine by G

R, Action by The Sweet (Both album and single versions which are different), Roll Away The Stone by Mott The Hoople and Poison by Alice. :)

BTW, talking of Blockbuster, the siren on the intro was banned in the USA when they released the single over there so it was removed. Has anyone ever heard or got a copy of the alternative version without the siren?

    Life isn't a dress rehearsal.
