Of the following, what do you think is the best opening guitar riff?

    1)LAY IT DOWN - Ratt
2)BARK AT THE MOON - Ozzy Osbourne
    3)NOTHING BUT A GOOD TIME - Poison
    4)GYPSY ROAD - Cinderella
    5)ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE - Scorpions
    6)SWEET CHILD O' MINE - Guns N' Roses
    7)LIVE WIRE - Motley Crue
    8) WASTED YEARS - Iron Maiden

ahh, live wire and nothin but a good time are fantastic, but sweet child o' mine definitely has the most intense opening riff ever.

Well I've beat the crazy train thing to death so I think I'm going to go in a different direction. One of the riffs I really like, is Once Around the Ride by cinderella. Just love how that opens.

Roxx Gang "No Easy Way Out" does it for me everytime! One of the most underrated bands from the late 80s glam metal scene...

When I hear this song it ends up on repeat - COS IT FUCKING ROCKS!!!

...and it's fun to play on drums too!

my vote goes to Rock You Like A Hurricane. I can actually play that. I'm learning Crazy Train, but i'd still sy Rock You Like A Hurricane Because, (dims the lights to storytelling mode) i was watching Metal mania on VH1C and it was that song, then i went to my guitar lessons and the teacher asked me if i knew that song, i said "yeah i like just heard it for the first time 3 hours ago on M.M."
And i was able to play it perfectly the first time.
So Rock You Like A Hurricane will always be one of my favorite songs just because of that.
