"Aaagh!! Char, i can't believe that you - a real live British person - could dislike The Beatles!?!? They are the be all and end all of everything that is and ever shall be in rock music."- Stanley

i can't believe i missed this..but anywayz Stanley..yup i'm a real live British person..probably about an hours train ride from Liverpool itself and in it's glory but i just do not like the Beatles...i'll admit that they're era defining and were certainly very talented...but i just don't like them and to be honest member-wise i only ever really liked Ringo and that was coz he used to narrate my favourite tv show! but what can ya do?...it'd be a boring world if we all liked exactly the same thingz!

Good to hear there are lots of U2 haters here. I consider boner to be my mortal enemy (him and sting(aka stink) and look forward to the day when I can do battle against his awful whining self. But I hate them outright, and can't toleraTE their music at all, no, not even their early stuff, back in the day, like pride etc. They just plain suck.

One band that I totally hate is Shihad (kiwi rock/metal/whatever outfit), but I really love their song Home Again. It's really pretty. Pity the rest of their work smells like armpit...

"Personally monsieur," said Poirot, "I don't give le fuck."

You shouldn't talk to me. Find better company. There's better people to know. You'll only end up like Rimbaud. Get shot by Verlaine...

    I hate Sisters Of Mercy..
.....but I love the song "Lucretia, My Reflection", and often use it as a warm up on my bass, and I love "Giving Ground"..which is actually not Sisters Of Mercy per se...but is...sorta..it's complicated:
This guy named Wayne Hussey was originally in the Sisters Of Mercy, and after he left he started a band called "The Sisterhood", which pissed off Andrew("I'm not a goth") Eldritch...so before Hussey's "The Sisterhood" could do anything to make a name for themselves, Eldritch assembled a studio band called "The Sisterhood" and released an album of mixed quality called "Gift"...forcing Hussey to change his band's name to "The Mission".
The story cracks me up, and Giving Ground is of a much better quality than most of the Sisters' songs, no doubt helped by the fact that it's sung by someone other than Eldritch, and the only members from the Sisters in it are Patricia Morrison on bass, and Doktor Avalanche-the Sister's drum machine, who has more personality than Eldritch.
But, since Eldritch wrote Giving Ground, he plays it live with the Sisters, which is why I'm including it here.
Here's videos, for those who aren't femiliar:

...not much of a video there, but you can hear the song(Giving Ground)

    ..and Lucretia, My Reflection
