Am I the only one who can not stand AC/DC?
I NEVER liked them and I get so tired of Having to hear bands cover their songs!
My husbands band does cover "dirty Deeds" and He can not stand having to do it but there's another member in the band that likes it so they cover the song BUT what is kewl is that my hubby will sing the parody version "Dirty Deeds,Done with Sheep" and there will be so many people in the crowd singing along with him as if their saying "YEAH Enough of This Song" Let's Kill It!! lol...

Anyway... I liked The Bon Scott AC/DC but.... I also wouldn't have them on my fav's list of music to listen too.

Thing is, there's a lot of subtle interplay going on with the guitars in AC/DC and the chord voicings are not always obvious. Most bands miss this when they do AC/DC covers, and this is why they don't sound too good.

I saw them at the MK Bowl in 2001. Great gig 8)

ACDC have been the backbone of ROCK for the last 30 years no matter how you slice it and dice it.

wow, I didn't think what they were playing was a big deal. Must go back and listen to it harder. To my ear, Malcolm plays 5th chords all nite long and Angus adds the 3rd. Rock and roll is a very basic form of music. Make it more complex and it becomes something else.

    Rock & roll over babe

i agree with motleyguy because if AC/DC's chords were complex in any way they would sound completly different and they was one of the origonal great rock n' roll bands. The only thing i don't like about them is that they are over played and everyone know's who they are but hey how else are the new generation of rock fans going to be exposed to great music?

AC/DC deserve their place as one of the greatest bands of all time. They were just raw and dirty. All the things that good rock and roll should be. They've also never sold out, which is something most bands seem to do. Bon Scott is probably the most charismatic frontman of all time. Just in his cheeky grin.

    AC/DC rock definitely.
When they come to Melbourne I'll be seeing them for sure.
Not so much of a fan of the Black Ice album.
But I wouldn't miss it for the world.

"Gotta love Acdc. Best album of theirs is Let there be rock, Back in Black.
Btw what does everyone here think of Black Ice? I like the album, much better than their horrible Stiff Upper Lip album. War Machine is the best song off the albums"
    - Painkiller

Yeah! AC/DC rock! I tend to listen to their songs rather than their albums so I can't comment on Black Ice as yet...

I don't know anyone who hates this band so that's a good start!

First off Brian does not sound like he is a taking a puke when he is singing. In fact trying to sing like Brian is 1 of the most difficult parts to pull off in an Acdc song.

Acdc is by far 1 of the greatest rock n roll bands ever with their unique sound back in the 70s when punk was dominating the airwaves & even their sound at times were almost punk in some ways. Classic riffs, very unique & far more unique than majority of the glam bands of the 80s
