How come nobody ever mentions these guys?
This is the first I have heard of them thanks to Amy (SickThing)

Oh, I feel so proud! The only other times I've introduced people to bands it was when they were around the same age as me or younger.

I'm livin' in the 70s, I feel like I've lost my keys
I got the right day, got the wrong week

Strange kind of poll but all 3 very glam in their own kinda way! Bolan was probably THE first but always did the same kinda' glam thing. Sweet had a fantastic glam spell but did all sorts of things [Indians, transexual Hitler, 3 legged guitarist, cloaks and capes, and on and on.
They took things to a new height if they could....and they did.
Skyhooks are more now glam, some of them look normal but the others are looking totally MAD.
    Good stuff.

thank you...i'm not going mad...3 legged guitarist...when i copied that pic from somewhere to print out...i thought i'd fucked something up...before realising, but still questioning the 3 leggedness...even after watching the documentary from that totp outing.

The ones I know of, with varying levels of glamness:

AC/DC (first single, with Dave Evans)
    Avalanche
    Bjerre
Buffalo (flirted with glam on their thrid and fith albums)
    Feather
    Finch
Fred Cass And His Fabulous Cassettes
    Geeza
    Ginger
    Hush
    Jeff Phillips & Tigerwing
    Jim Keays
    John Paul Young
Kush (heavy jazz, Jeff Duff was our Bowie though)
La Femme (bit late, but still glam)
    Little Nell
    Little Sammy Gaha
Ol '55 (retro, still kinda glammy)
    Rabbit
    Ray Burgess
    Redhouse Roll Band
    Scandal
    Sherbet
    Silver Studs (more retro)
    Skyhooks
    Squeeze (not the British band)
    Supernaut
    Taste
    Uturn
    William Shakespeare

Why put a completely unknown band in a poll up against SWEET and BOLAN?
All should be equal from the start.
Worldwide fame and achievments count for alot in a poll. Too strong an opposition.

Probably because they stink. I've never heard of them before coming across them on this website and agree with panasonicq they it's a travesty to compare these shit musicians with their elementary school standard pantomime show against Sweet & T-Rex.

It's little wonder anyone had ever heard of them. They can't be serious.

where was the word travesty? i admit they're not in the same league, but neither are the english football teams..but it doesn't make them shit...well not the bands anyway...

BCFC...even if they are rubbish! Bradford is my local team..and the only team i've seen play home...although since a year ago, when Sky Sports is on...i do look up several other teams..not dropping any names...but i do sulk when Barnet get high up..lol...P.S- don't ask why i do!

but anyway...i love music more!...and i know that most of my favourites in this category aren't likely to go under the relegation line on this forum.

    The Skyhooks are awesome.
I bumped into Red Symons one day when I was out and about. He was on the phone and I was in a rush, but he did look up and smile at me and that made my day. :D
