    i like both...malmsteen is an extremely fast picker and an excellent guitarist....but i LOVE randy simply because of his raw power and talent and ability to make every hair on your body stand straight up !

    Randy was agreat guitar player but I like Malmsteens' riffs better, because everyone knows Randy because of crazy train but I've never met anyone who has heard of Malmsteen. So I got to pick Malmsteen because he ain't really over rated, I'm not meaning to piss any one off but that's just my opinion.

    Another fucking toss up and the coin stands on its end. I leave it that way because they both kick ass and are awesome guitar players. Its a tragedy Randy died at a young age and Malmsteen puts out stuff still that is rocking. The dude is just fucking amazing. Can't lend my vote to either one, wouldn't be right.

    Randy. I saw yngwie live and while I like his music, the guy is a total dick. When I saw him he had Rudy Sarzo playing with him, and Rudy the lead singer the drumer along with the keyboard player were all shoved into a corner. Yngwies big ass had about 80% of the stage to do his guitar tosses and kicks. Not to mention that when me and my buddy were walking into the place Yngwie walks right past the two of us and my buddy yells yeah yngwie and malmsteen just walks past without a single smile, nod or anything. The guy was cold as ice! At least until my friend called him a dick, then he seemed to show some emotion. we were the only two outside when he walked by too.

    I love Malmsteen, but he's just waay to over-rated, Randy's my all time favorite nothing will change that :D

    Randy, simply because he's more versatile. He really MADE those first Ozzy albums.

    Malmsteen started out really strong in the early 80s, just listen to Far Beyond The Sun... Whoa! That STILL gives me chills. He pretty soon got a bad case of "big head syndrome" though and it kills some of the musical vibes.
