Michael Angelo for me.randy was a badass,no doubt.his stuff with ozzy was killer....buuuuuut,dude,MAB is in-fucking-sane.maybe if rhoads was alive today, and done a shred album or 2,id maybe like him more than batio.cuz he maybe could have doubled MAB's talent today if he had lived on.randys success with ozzy doesn't outdo batio as a guitarist for me.again, randys the man,but batio is my personal choice.now if it would have said Lynch or Rhoads,id def. 100 percent pick lynch,cuz,well....LYNCH RULES ALL!

How can you compare 2 completely different styles? hah.
For me Michael Angelo Batio for technicality.
Randy Rhoads had loads more soul and feel.
Im not too into the real technical shit like Batio and Paul Gilbert. It doesnt to anything for me, as technical as I get is George Lynch because he has that perfect blend of technicality and feel in his playing.

i feel myself that batio has as much soul and feel as he does technicality

Yes these guitarists cant be compared in any fair way, 2 different styles. And as for Paul Gilbert, I wouldnt put him anywhere near MAB. Paul Gilbert is more than just a shredder, hes got feeling and style like a mother fucker. Check out anything from Mr. Big self titled. I dont know about anyone else but He never seizes to amaze me on that album.

The only shredder with soul is Jason Becker. The rest of them all sound the same. Widdly-widdly-my ass...
With the exception of Vito Bratta but he wasn't technically a shredder, a technical genius he was but definitely not a shredder.
Another exception is Steve Vai, he's a shredder but uses innovative techniques, stuff that no one else does, to generate interest. Can't say much about his feel but he is an interesting guitarist.
Satriani I think has the most feel out the shredders. CC Deville has feel as well. Randy Rhoads sure laid down the most AWESOME solo's in the studio. I haven't seen him live but what's on youtube live is pretty disappointing. Maybe he was better suited as a studio player?
I'm kinda thinking that playing 3 notes per string shredder style, makes it damn impossible to get feel happening.
However, those who stick to pentatonics have a better chance.
Guitar players would understand what the fuck I'm talking about.

CC Deville is one of the worst guitarists in glam metal in almost every way. I cant believe you just put him on a higher level then RR.

he may not have as much feel or heart and randy does but a man with batio's kinda skill has got to have some degree of both...i do how ever think that rhoads with as far as heart and feel are concerned is more insink with his guitar and the music as a whole...c ya wat im sayin ?
