    MOTLEY FUCKING CRUE OF FUCKING COURSE!!!

    THE EVIDENCE:
    GUNS: They had an amazing DEBUT ALBUM! From start to finish. They returned the balls to metal while bands like Firehouse were busy removing them. I respect them for that.
    SLASH IS AWESOME, and Axl WAS awesome THEN..."Use Your Illusion I & II" had some good tunes...But they were history by '95.

    MOTLEY: Amazing debut with "Too Fast...", Amazing follow-up with "Shout At The Devil". Too fucked-up to write they even managed to give us "Theatre of Pain" and "Girls, Girls, Girls". Then they still gave us "Dr. Feelgood"! The quality of this album inspired Metallica to get producer Bob Rock to produce their Black Album!
    When they lost Vince Neil, they stayed together and still rocked...while GNR went nowhere...

    With Vince Neil back and Tommy playing along again they are still going strong!!

    GNR gave us "Chinese Democracy" after a decade or so...and what a crock of shit that was...

    NO CONTEST! NO QUESTION! MOTLEY CRUE!!!!!!!!!

    Motley Crue is still going strong and Guns N Roses is nothing but a cover band built on what Axl would like to think is the greatest Guns N Roses of all time. Guns only has meaning to the diehard metal fans anymore while the crue has gone on to make new fans just like kiss has done over the years. Oh and everything Sixxshooter said too, that was a great way to sum up the two bands. couldn't agree more.

    Guns wins with steven adler. Crue wins after steven got kicked out of guns.those r my answers.so I guess u could say I choose guns,technically.but I'm not gonna officially put that in writing cuz crue is awesome and shouldn't ever be picked against.I just tend to favor guns anytime the old lineup comes up.rocket queen anyone??? Appetite=Masterpiece....Too Fast,girls girls girls,dr. Feelgood,theatre of pain, and shout at the devil=best 5 albums ever made by a single band

    "I liked G&R when I first heard Welcome To The Jungle, and I liked them after Lies came out as well, but they wore thin pretty quick after that for me.
    There was something too....I don't know if this makes sense..."brown" about their sound.
    Not a race thing, but I mean like, most Metal and Glam bands sound either "grey" or "silver" to me(Metal-grey...sometimes black, Glam-silver, often glittery, depending on the guitar timbre), whereas a lot of Hard Rock, Southern Rock, Country..etc.
    There's something "woodsy and rural" sounding in there.
    Not a bad thing, just doesn't usually work for me.
    Probably because I'm surrounded by rednecks.
    Crue got closest to brown on Theater Of Pain, but followed it up with a silvery/black album.
    .....this probably sounds like an acidhead, but I had these sort of sound/colour associations wayyy before I even tried pot.

    dude as a guitarist i know exactly what you mean hahaha

    i get sort of a "brown" listening to guitarists that used marshalls mostly, but i listen to dokken stuff i think like silver

    Motley Crue. Guns N' Roses is amazing, but Motley will forever be my favorite band. Guns N' Roses comes at a close second!

    even though i like a few motley crue songs and am kinda a fan but guns get my vote

    Overall: Motley Crue!

    To me Guns'n'Roses = Appetite for destruction. That album is just killer from the first note to the last. And I like this album better than most things Motley Crue has done.

    On Use your illusion I & II there were a couple of cool tunes, but overall it already had that "bloated/jaded rockstar" feel to it.
