The Pick Of Destiny (The one with Tenacious D)
School of Rock (with Jack Black)
Decline of the Western Civilization: The Metal Years
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (not so much of a heavy metal movie but still pretty rock n' roll)

LMAO okay so let me tell you about the rock n roll nightmare edge of hell. It was and 80's bside movie. It was so bad that it was fucking hilarious, one scene the lead singer is jamming out on the guitar and is totally holding the guitar wrong. Its a horror movie gone comedy you just HAVE to see it. Most metal movie? Documentary, I'd go with "Headbanger's Journey" since it was actually in theatres.(But I prefer the TV doc "HEAVY: The Story of Metal" -- MUCH better!)

"Decline..." was a solid documentary, but seemed like it was just trying to make metalheads look like idiots...from the fans to the rockstars. So...Metal, but not in a good way. :?

FICTIONAL MOST METAL MOVIE? In my opinion, it still hasn't been made... :? "Rockstar" came close(very close). Well casted & good original songs written for the fictional band. But it still feels like it's making fun of the metalheads; and glam rockers in this case.

If "Rockstar" had the same feel as something like "Almost Famous"(remembering the time & music, the good times & the bad, and treating them with respect & nostalgia) -- instead of the 'look how stupid they were' treatment metal & glam metal gets in movies.

And, as I've said before on another thread, it's a fucking pathetic shame that Glam metal has yet to have a Bio-film made!! Eminem, 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G. are Rappers who have all had bio-pics made about them(and starring them in some cases!). Where are the bio-pics on MOTLEY CRUE? OZZY OSBOURNE(RANDY RHOADS)? AEROSMITH? RATT? GUNS N ROSES? KISS? ALICE COOPER? HANOI ROCKS?

COME ON HOLLYWOOD!! MAKE A REAL METAL MOVIE!!

    +1
A Motley or Ozzy movie would be fawkin awesome, and the censorship guys would have a collective heartattack

(And on a side note, just to have it said, Saw Ozzy in Stockholm last week. Front and center...and the old man still rocks your fucking socks off, with a little help of technology. And he played my favorite song :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5sKIaWhGRk&hd=1)

Its not metal, but Velvet Goldmine is one of my all time favs. It focuses more on early 70's glam rock, and is very realistic and it shows how the evolution of a glam artist works.

How about movies with a nice rock/metal soundtrack? If those count, I'll put up:

Shocker! (Wes Craven) featuring Megadeth's version of "No more Mr nice guy".

Robocop 2, featuring a bunch of hair metal bands.

The Wrestler (featuring Ratt, Quiet Riot, etc.)

Those flicks (Shocker, Robocop 2) just make me yearn for that era. You know... the "pre-Cobain" era when life was good...
