I heard the news that he wasn't well and that it was serious from my good buddy Jamie late last year. Even so, the news isn't any easier to take.

Ronnie will always be a legend. RIP.

So sad, I knew he was sick and just found out he had died by two of my friends status updates on myspace. I had the great pleasure of seeing him in concert in 1985. R.i.p. Ronnie your music lives on!

I am devastated. One of the biggest losses to metal history, one of the most talented men the world has known.

    A good man to loose...

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine actually heard he got better. I dont know from where, but that made this come as twice a shock...

KarKing, it was reported in the media that Ronnie was getting better so I'm with you. So it doesn't add up and makes it more of a shock.

Sad to see him leave us...But imagine the band he'll start with all the other legends he's with now...

ROCK ON RONNIE!(I always gave YOU credit for the "devil horns"...Not Gene Simmons...)

I was saddened by his death. Holy Diver, Rock n roll Children, caught in the middle, king of rock n roll are just killer songs! I was so glad to have seen Dio live with Heaven & Hell.

    Thank you Dio!

His voice is obviously legendary, but my favorite parts of all his songs are the guitar solos and the keys parts.he had some trully badass guitar players, and that's mainly what got me into his songs.it wasn't until I heard him in rainbow that I started to give the man respect.I prolly should have started out listening to rainbow before his solo stuff, haha
