wow, so yea i havent made a thread in a fuckin long ass time. so i cant believe this hasnt been brought up yet.Black Veil Brides. aint my cup of tea hahahahahaha. i hate what theyre doing to the world of glam. i know theres probably millions on here that love them, cuz it seems that most of the younger generation seem to love screamo music.but i think that band is making a joke out of glam. you cant just be a screamo band,then all of a sudden one day idolize nikki sixx and all dress up like him. i dont know. this is my rant,and im sure that im not the only one who feels like this.shit part about the whole thing is that the whole fucking world loves them for some reason. maybe its cuz i dont like screamo,hahahaha.i hope this becomes a decent thread haha

I like death metal, and black metal and stuff like Slipknot. But not stuff that is classed as 'Screamo'. BVB can fuck off and die though. I've seen them live and they were shite! All the guys there stood arms folded, looking bored, all the females rushed forwards screaming. They're only famous because of all the un-educated children that don't know better. BVB are only famous because of their appearance. BVB are only famous because they are constantly being shoved into people's faces. Their image is like Shout At The Devil era CRUE meets Chthonic but they think they're original and bad-ass. They're not. They claims to be the next CRUE. That though makes me gag. There are many more bands out there that are closer to being the next CRUE than fucking BVB (e.g. The Defiled, Falling In Reverse etc (Not saying they will be the next CRUE just saying they're closer to it then BVB)).

They suck, it's not glam at all. It's scream/emo stuff.
Then i better like 'the treatment' who opened for alice cooper. I will make a topic for them right now.

This is an older video, really emo screamo punk.

This is a later vid. It's better i think then the old material but the chorus still sucks and the bridge is still fucking emo. hm... that only makes the intro cool. And it's nothing glam at all.

Well in defense of BVB there is almost no screaming at all in their newest album. It is a much more 'rock n roll' record, and is actually pretty damn good. Whether you like them or not, there is definitely talent in their music.

I don't follow them, I just educate myself on stuff before I decide if I 'hate' them or not. Bugs me when people blindly hate something. xD

a friend of mine went to the BVB concert and said it was terrible.. He likes there music but live it was really bad he said.

In the second video posted, is he singing into a speaker cone? I like that

I think they are okay. They are the closest thing to glam that has any large following (so it seems to me) and I think that might be why Nikki Sixx is into them. I think Falling In Reverse plays better music, and looks cooler, but I can't get into the screaming stuff. I just sounds silly to me - I start laughing, and can't take it seriously.

That said, what I dislike about BVB and FIR is that they both fall into the trap of a lot of other current rock and metal bands in that they sacrifice melody for speed on the guitar. At least Mick Mars was playing melodically, you know?
