We never go out for New Year's eve. In fact, sometimes we're asleep before midnight (pitiful huh?). But lately we've been hanging out with some different groups of people, so maybe next year we'll actually have plans. This year, maybe we'll splurge and have a bottle of wine or something. LOL

    What are your plans?

I don't know I haven't thought of it. Too far away... or wait.. it's next week. I'll probably go hang out by a friends house.

Well... I'll be Bangkok, so I'll probably find some shitty little bar and shock all the locals with the level of my vodka-swilling.

I have no idea just yet but I know it will involve being intoxicated, it always does. Most times we will do a get together @ someones place, but so far no plans have been made yet.

I think I will just be doing the usual: Blasting various CD's, and maybe ordering out for Pizza and Chinese. That is something of a new years tradition for me anyway, and I think this year would be the same.

I saw something about the red-light district there a few weeks ago on SBS, so that could be good for a little bit of sight-seeing. :P

The red light district is sleazy but not in a good way

Going on memory, every bar in Bangkok with the exception of hotel lobby bars, are titty bars.

My sister and her family always has something on New Year's Day. I don't know if I can make it this year because I have to work :( and she's in Indiana.

Oh, I totally forgot to make mention of my alcohol consumption! just get totally $**t-faced, play some awesome albums loud, and then maybe play some computer games, or make drunken phonecalls. PARTY!!!

Well I probably won't be staying up any later than usual. I usually go to bed around 5 AM these days. Lol. Not sure if I'm doing anything... maybe drink champagne. But I get to do that at my grandma's wedding as well on Tuesday. :D

That's some good advice. I'll just go wherever my legs take me though.

ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK MAKES A HARD MAN HUMBLE!

I'm sorry; it seemed appropriate. :P

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

We have a friend that is shipping off soon and we are going to throw him a surprise party. His birthday is just a couple of days after the 1st so we are throwing everything into one bash.

My dad and I went camping down at Ballina, NSW.
Got drunk and crashed a beach party (at first we freaked them out, pretending to be rangers busting them for having a fire on the beach  ) and it turned out everyone there was from Queensland as well, so instead of midnight, we celebrated new years at 1 am, 'cause NSW time is an hour ahead of QLD.

Well folks, it sadly turns out that I couldn't get as S-faced as I had planned to. As luck would have it, I caught a pretty bad cold on New Years eve, so I couldn't have as many drinks as I would have otherwise.

Oh well, at least you probably had a more pleasant New Year's Day than I did!

Don't be so sure about that, since I just stayed home and didn't even get to stick to my original New Years plan. Nothing like a lame cold to ruin what may have otherwise been a pretty decent holiday!
