Help a couple Rock N' Rollers out please

    I've been on this forum for awhile, i read the rule about not posting adds for musicians but my buddy and I Jay have come to a last straw. We have been trying to find band members for 2 years now and we are 100% dedicated to our music. We seriously need some help in finding a singer a bass player and possibly guitarist if i take singing lessons. The singer we have at the moment is going on tour with his band soon, the other guitarist is going to college, we have no bass player, and we are going to be out of a band and there are no Glam Metal musicians around here.
    We are deffinatley considering relocating, its just going to be expensive and its going to be hard with this economy. It would be highly appreciated if someone could help us out.

    amherst, ohio and my drummer lives in vermilion its about 40 minutes from cleveland

    Try websites like Joinmyband.co.uk? Its got a US section. I was able to find a complete band in like, 4 days there. If you dont mind people being just a little far away, then its awesome.

    And failing that, theres a lot of websites out there. Obscure musicians who like stuff like Glam Metal hide away on the internet usually, 'cos they find the real world a little tough. Rock Bands arent kind to Glam Rockers.

    But, why dont you minimise? If your gonna learn to sing, then you could play guitar and sing. And if you play guitar, then you can tune one of your guitars down into a bass. Have your current bassist show you what he's doing, and basically try it untill it sounds good. And you only need one guitarist, really Just pick out the important bits.

    Record the bass, use it to practice - find a session bassist or whatever who'll do shows with you, but not be part of the band really. And then your flying, right?

    Self-sufficency. And when you get a little fame, just a little, itll get easy. You've got the detemination, man, it'll come to you.

    Hell, if you want to go with that, I can record the bass parts for you.

    im gonna check that site out, the only thing is i have the worst possible voice... im a pretty good lead guitarist thats what i want to do, i cant play a damn bass and the bass player we sort of have now dont even know how to tune is bass and i dont think people around here even know what glam is and im just completely lost on what to do, the singer we have now is a cool ass dude, looks the part, great singer, but hes gonna be goin on tour playing drums in his thrash band and its just a shitty situation for me and the drummer, and we actually want to get somewhere and write songs and i feel like the singer and other guitarist just look at it as a cover band.
