I know that there is a similar thread, but that didn't completely help me

Several people in this board seen to know a lot about guitars and the whole GlAm scene. I want to get a new guitar but I want something that sounds "Glam Guitarishh" and something easy (Doesn't require tuning 24/7). Can you give me a clue on which way to go?

    And I do like this

    Link

It is affordable for me and I heard that it is a "metal" guitar ... don't know if its glammish though."

And AMP wise, What Amp is good for a mix of Glam and a Heavy kinda sound. I know I'm going to get the "It depends on the guitar" but if you advise me a guitar then please apply an AMP next to its name.

I hope these equipments aren't worth 4,000 dollars ether =P

I have a Rick Allen Strat. I forgot the pick-ups I have on it, but the normal amp I have doesn't have much distortion, so I got an "Overdrive Pedal" from Meijer and it adds so much distortion. So it just depends on what you wanna do. For a metal sound I'd try something like an X-plorer, Les Paul, Flying V, etc. Good luck dude.

I would try a Jackson - Flying V , or Something with a tremlo bar on it, for amp i would go with Crate, any crate that has a seperate head and cabinet., half stack. Or something with tubes in it. They have that 80's sound. And throw in a Boss Chorus Pedal. The Kramer Berettas are nice but kinda expensive. About 600 bucks, Good luck

The Dean V79 is pretty cool or the Ibanez RG350M-YE (bright yellow with a maple fretboard). Ampwise go for a midsize 100w solidstate combo if you're on a budget, like the Marshall MG102 or the Kustom HV100T.

The many guitars can get a good glam sound. The best pickup in my mind is The Seymour Duncan JB. Used by Warren Demartini, and Jake E Lee to be specific. Pickup is probably more important then guitar brand You don't want a pickup thats too distorted or too heavy sounding. Any guitar with that pickup could get a good glam sound pretty easy. But for specific guitar brands, Charvel, Jackson, BC Rich, or many Gibsons (especially for more rock n'roll and sleaze influence glam) but those are just my perception, everything in your settup adds up, amp, cables, effects, with guitar get the one that feels best for you.

haha nice. love your main guitar.
About the amp. i think mgdfx sucks big balls but a nice bang for the buck. Maybe you can look at the new MA marshalls? it's a full tube marshall head for a lovely 500 euro's around hier in holland.

the cabs are pretty tight. The amps are a bit muddy indeed. But caps are a lot deeper sounding then marshall.
I want an orange cab with a soldano SLO100 on top of it :P but the soldano's cost 3300 euro's around here. thats a bit to expensive for me haha

I use a Charvel USA production Series San Dimas Type 1 with Seymour Duncan JB and 59 Pickups .
I use an Egnater Tourmaster 4100 Half Stack. Most of the time i just plug straight into the amp. Occasionally I will use a wah.

    Guitar

Dean Razorback DB - Everything is stock
*Currently saving for another guitar, don't know what I want tho yet.

    Amp

Egnater 4100 Tourmaster with matching cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's.

    Plug's in like this:

Guitar > Pedal Tuner > Amp

I absolutely love my amp, the 4 channels and the versatility is awesome. Clean / Vintage 1 has some of the sickest cleans I've ever heard But if you crank the bass and gain all the way, I've had a pretty cool 'Pearl Necklace' by ZZ Top tone as well! Clean / Vintage 2 is pretty sick for a mostly clean sound with a little grind on it, or that's what I use it for anyways. The Overdrive 1 channel, with the switch on the Classic setting, can sound pretty close to an old cranked Marshall, and on the Modern setting it can get a hair metal tone pretty easy. The Overdrive 2 channel has ridiculous amounts of gain, and that's coming from an absolute gain-head, if that's a term at all. lol. But that's either for solos, or if you like to play thrash or heavier stuff, like I do.

oh, i didn't read what was goin on this topic!!!
i was answering the the old question

    'Bout my gear...

    GUITARS
-Gibson Flying V faded (with 3 pickups)
    -Charvel San Dimas 2 2H
    -Jackson Performer Randy Rhoads PS-3

    AMP.
    -Peavey Valveking 212

    Pedals
    -Boss Metal Zone
    -Vox V847 Wah

each guitar i tune differently, the gibson i have tune down half step(from E), the Charvel is normal and the jackson is tuned one step down.

cool ass shit man.PRS guitars and Marshall amps are the root to my sound, and of course a chorus, wah or tuner between the guitar and the amp.I think the tube models give you that great glam rock tone,I never play live or do a session with out that gear.

Hm Egnater tourmaster is a great amp indeed. But if you want a more channel glamrock kinda amp i can also suggest the marshall DSL or the 6100LM (verry cool amp but hard to get). The 6100LM is anniversary model which got all the older marshalls in there JTM45, plexi, jcm800, jcm900.
Also the marshall vintage modern is verry good sounding. And if you want something else then marshall the new EVH 5150III is verry lovely. All great amps!!

For a note: charvel has left the usa.. All charvels from now gonna be made in asia. So if you want a USA charvel? BE QUICK!
I would love to have a white charvel so-cal...
