I hate to admit it..well no I don't, I loved the BIG BIG hair, and although it took some work (and tons of spray) I'd do it again in a minute. Also always loved the really long hair on the boys. Do you still have a 'hint' of the do? Or would you (if you wouldn't get made fun of) STILL be wearing your hair in the glam rock style?

Tommy Shaw still has long, blond hair like when he was in Damn Yankees.
Uncle Ted Nugent still has the hair too.

I love long hair, eye makeup and jewelry on guys. The "peacock" effect, you know?
    ;)

Yeah, I never cut my hair when everyone else did in the 90's, so I guess I still have the hair. I never needed hairspray in the old days, as it's naturally curly. But these days it's falling out quicker than it's growing so I need lots of hairspray to hold it in place!!!

Gary Cherone cut his down too. He had beautiful hair, Long, thick, wavy hair and it's all chopped down now :(

Age has taken a toll of the number of hairs I have on my scalp. I used to have long hair, but today it would probably look silly with my lack of hair ;)

    Big hair should be compulsory.

Yep I'm rockin' it! Though I'm only 17 so it's not like I've had 'the do' for yeaars and years. I do backcomb it almost everyday and use hairspray but I use loads of conditioner and keep my hair healthy so it doesn't look gross. You can't see in my avater really but at the moment i have big hair which is blonde at the front and black at the back :P

    Mixxi - big ole' tip.
style your hair... leave it for a few hours... then brush everything out.. products and back combed hair. your hair will be fluffy as fuck.. and SO much easier to back comb and get height for that long-awaited night out!!

My hair is a little past my shoulders right now, about 6 more months and it will be in the middle of my back.

Spooky, you are the most pink person that I've ever seen and believe me, I've seen alot of pink people.

I'd have long hair if I weren't wrestler. I just hate having my hair pulled.

I had some BIG hair back in the late 80's, and I have outgrown that look, but I still definitely have a thing for those guys with the hair down to their asses!! Mine is still long, down to my ass, but I do save alot on hairspray now! ha!! As long as the music is alive, who cares what they look like now! Diamond Dave is still do-able!!!

I used to wear my hair really big to school, but I've toned it down a bit since then, lol.
The weather at the moment is incredibly humid so I'm going to braid all my hair, to avoid it going blegh due to all the moisture in the air. Straightening irons can only do so much.

Oh and wanna know what my dad's hair was like ages ago? He tells me it was like an afro, but long; all the way down to his arse. Imagine how long it'd be if it was straight!
(My dad and I both have naturally curly hair)

I'm livin' in the 70s, I feel like I've lost my keys
I got the right day, got the wrong week

Oh, I need your advice, hun :) I am trying to go for the black at the back...in the neck area and the under layers of the hair...but it did not turn out well the first and only time that I did it a month ago. What is your advice to get the best results when you do it on your own?

On to the actual topic: I go for the full blown glam look when I go to gigs etc. But else in everyday life I tone it down...but still with traces of glam. One thing...I can never get my hair long enough, it is allways too short...so thanks the hair gods for extentions *lol*

I've tried to do the big hair look, but it doesn't work very well. Would getting my hair cut into layers help? I've done back-combing and hairspray, but it doesn't get very big...

my hair usually makes itself big...when it sees moisture it frizzes right on up...and it's naturally thick...it annoys the hell out of me actually.

I have the same problem. Mine was never big, and never really long. I'm trying to get it to grow out....... and the shampoo I use is helping.... "Mane and Tail", and while I realise it is usually found in the pet section, it works wonders for thickening up fine hair like mine.....

Try their conditioner........ and then when you towel dry, take some and rub it through. Leave it in......
