Besides Hot Topic, I would try to check out Spencer's if you have that local. Sometimes they have a couple of nice things, a friend of mine is a manager there and gets great discounts. Another friend makes their own, I still need to take that up as a hobby. :)

There's a lot of places I know of online, but I can't think too many besides the already mentioned Hot Topic and Spencers. Surely there are some others, but it depends on where you live!

    Goodluck regardless.

There's an online store that has t-shirts, shorts, jackets, stuff like that. Lot's of stars to choose from. I don't know if we're allowed to link here or not, but the site is called fanfire, you can the w's and the dot com. I've never shopped there, but I've seen some cute stuff on their site and been tempted.

Let me tell you a secret

The good thing about rock(we'll call it glam) clothing is doing it yourself.
It'll look original, creativ, awesome and people will always come to you and ask you
"where did you... how can I... do you...?
and if they don't ask, then they'll say how cool you look, if they don't dare to speak to you, than their eyes will.

I do (sew) my own stuff, right now I am about to finish my jacket.
that you can't sew? oh god. try it! is not big deal.

and the thing is... You almost never find the right stuff that fit you.

    good luck! :)

    you say that...but i have tried...over and over again...i still can't sew...and it's a real shame...because i'd love to....it'd be a dream to make my own outfits.

Begin with something easy first...like a mini skirt or something like that. That is how I began. Made my self a really cool one once in gold lamé and very short in the 80´s...unfortunally it got lost when I moved.

Or start out by say like sewing some cool leopard print curtains or cushions...just to get the feel of it and take it on from there. Take in addition to this perhaps sewing lessons at night school.

And you do not need to buy the most expensive sewing machine around...try buying second hand first.

Then you will get the hang of it :)

You can also check out E-bay...I use a Swedish version of something like E-bay...just purchased a white mini dress and black leggings with skull print today and it is a brand new from people with online shops who buy whole sale.

ok..but i'm not sure we have any kind of night school where i live, nevermind specifically sewing lessons. it's a very small town and the city is quite unsavoury.

One place I don't really see mentioned is second hand or vintage stores.

You'd be surprised what you might find, and the hunt is half the fun.

NOW, you wanna get seriously silly, you could make a duct tape mini-skirt:
    http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Duct-Tape-Mini-Skirt

Like the article says, duct tape comes in lots of colours, too, so have fun...... :)

You wanna know about stores in Hollywood???????

Go to "PLaymates".Its right on Wilcox and Hollywood Blvd. You'll love it.Plenty of stockings and miniskirts and....oh just go!

There are shops in Silverlake (try around Vermont)...vintage shops, look for colorful window displays.

You can try Melrose but I really think thats expensive.

OHHHHH try BigLots.....they used to be pic n save....Hollywood one is on Vine Street 2 blocks s of Sunset Blvd.

Hot topic is too mainstream. For Hollywood, go to Hollywood Blvd.

Go to "Hot Rocks". Owners name is Mike. He's the best. Also, there's another rock store opened just a couple of doors down from there. (I forget the name) but, they have stuff too. Hot Rocks has the best selection though.

There's a ton of "stripper" clothing stores as that's a pretty high demand type of store for there. But, hotrocks has a lot of "metal clothing" not so much porn clothes.

    babygirlboutique.com

    fivetone.com

    angryyoungandpoor.com

damn it i know of some more but ill have o get back to u on that.

Hot topic is for cheese balls. Do what the real glitter boys did in the early 70s... buy (or steal) women's 7" silver platform boots along with some cheap drug store make-up. Ahhhhhhh... the good old days.

eBay is really good but it takes alot of searching to find what you're looking for the right price. If leather is your thing then there are alot of leather shops set up on eBay doing great designs in any color combination....eg hot pink/black.

I usually search on search terms including animal, leopard & zebra in the clothing category. Plus it's good that you know your size in mens and womens because you never know what you'll find :D

Vintage is best. Lots of amazing 80s finds in the second hand stores here, I got an unworn pair of Skin Jeans a month or so back, my mum never let me have them in the 80s. And as admin says, auction sites (I use a local one, not ebay, don't have a credit card) are great too. I always search for 'leopard' and 'animal print' too!

But, as a poor person, I've always had to sew to have the clothes I want. And from the sheer neccesity of it over the years, I've become a pretty good seamstress (*hemhem*).

"Personally monsieur," said Poirot, "I don't give le fuck."

You shouldn't talk to me. Find better company. There's better people to know. You'll only end up like Rimbaud. Get shot by Verlaine...

Hey....porn clothing sounds good to me :D

Hollywood is right about shopping on Hollywood Blvd.

Melrose Ave is good too but sometimes it pricey.

Check out a second hand shop chain called "Out Of The Closet"....proceeds go to AIDS research and helping those afflicted with it.

I got some badass burgundy platform shoes there for 5 bucks.

I love shopping at TJ MAXX...I find shoes there and sometimes Wonderbras.

I used to love Pic N Sav...but now they are BigLots and not as cheap.
