It makes sense to me to open this little discussion out of general interest :)

Is it the make up? The boots? The Hair?

    Lets find out....

I think it's a combination of the actual clothing/hair and everything, and the attitude needed to pull it off successfully. Like, a shy retiring person can't pull off the skin tight jeans and leather look the same way a confident person can, if that makes sense

Agreed, they could have the style but if they don't have the confidence too then it just doesn't work. :)

I think its the hair and the jeans, and maybe the shirt...ok the whole combination. I really dig the hair tho. Guys with good bodies and tight jeans just make it work, and if their upper body is in tone, and they've got cuffs or whatever, it just makes u drool =p~

I live to lust...but those i lust are all hott guys from the 80's!!!
    *dang it* lol

I just have a weakness for guys dressed like that.
I think its a lot to do with the confidence. The fact that a guy has confidence to dress like that (especially where im from) and not care what people think. Seeing a guy just dressed in jeans and a shirt does absolutely nothing for me. Call me shallow but they just look boring.
I do however love any guy with really good glam hair and jeans so tight they look like they have been painted on. =)

Men with tight jeans worn low on the hips, so those hipbones show.... *swoon* And tattoos. And makeup..... And that certain swagger, without which the rest means nothing!

let my lips drip red wine on your breast...

Its everything, but I think its mostly the hair. And the make-up. But of course, the whole combination.

I think what makes a glammer are the hair and pants, ya know cuz you have to have long hair and skin tight pants or it just doesnt work.
Like a glammer with baggy pants is just fuckin wrong!
I think also the makeup and accerories help too

big hair that isnt emo/scene, cause thats just pathetic looking. leather is nice, leopard print is nice, but a W.A.S.P. tee would win me over.

To MickMars, you made a very valid "big hair that isn't emo/scene" point. This is something that I think about quite a bit! I'm quite fed of emos claiming they started the big hair phenomenon. Let us make a stand! lol As for the W.A.S.P t-shirt, clearly you are a woman of taste!

For me, my ideal man would be a cross between Bach and Sixx.

To an earlier post about being shallow...I think it's unfair to label anyone as shallow for being attracted to what they are. I know for sure i'm not attracted to football loving hooligans with an army haircut, loose jeans and an ill-fitting shirt and probably timberland boots. I quite agree there is something sexually provoking in a man that can wear makeup, tight ass clothes, high hair and swagger about. It's like they are your very own rock n roll jesus lol.

Back to the earlier point, I feel female emos have somewhat nicked our beloved hairstyle and sprinkled it with cupcake clips, bows and hairbands. Live and let live. But it looks better with our style lol *gives ye the middle finger salute*

And because i'm super comfortable with my sexuality, "Phenobarbidoll" you are simply gorgeous woman! :D

Their body, tight pants, big hair... A GnR, WASP, Aerosmith, AC/DC, or Motley Crue shirt is a turn on too...

Glam girls can be pretty but some personalities can be just downright ugly!

I think Glam girls can at least look the most confident! I had this chat with a lovely friend of mine who isn't glam at all and she said how when she first saw me in the club, she was far too intimidated to chat to me. I found this hurtful. So you might be beautiful, but you need to have the RIGHT attitude.

This is some Jerry Springer shit. lol!

By the way, the Bach & Sixx Mix is MINE! But of coarse i'll share the top half but not the bottom ;) ;) ;)

tell me about it, I know so many girls who look the business but they're just horrible people, so bitchy and stuck up just because they're good looking

it can get like that with the guys too though, I've got a mate who looks every inch the rockstar, he's a beautiful lad but he's lovely with it. The rest of his band look the part but they're mostly a bunch of dickheads :/

You know, the classic example I saw of that was at Download this yeah. The Glam girls were SO fake and SO up their arse even the "glammers" started taking the piss out of them. You can't polish a turd. They didn't even know who Poison were LLF. Of coarse, my mate thoroughly tore into them after that. Rightfully or wrongfully, they got it tight lol.

If anything, I find Glam guys really the most intimidating so it's awesome to hear that there are guys out there that aren't missing they sunshine for their heads being up their arses. Funny how it's always one in the band that's awright and the rest need a fuckin slap eh lol
