Hey, guys. I started working on a denim vest about 2 days ago, and, wanted to show you guys. I know it doesn't have any glam patches on it, but I do plan on putting a lot more. Please feel free to comment, because I would greatly appreciate it. But please post your honest opinions... Otherwise, I would look stupid wearing it around if it doesn't look good. Thanks!

Dude denim vests kick ass! Yours is a awesome start my man! Since my computer won't upload any photos I can't show you mine but I have had it for five years and have been adding patches and shit to it. It is covered with them now! On my back is Rush's 2112 and star as center piece, above it is A huge Iron Maiden patch, I have the same Led Zeppelin and Metallica patch as you do! I have also poison, Ratt, Manowar, Quiet Riot, to numerous to name on it and the front is also covered with band patches and buttons. Don't be ashamed to wear it no matter how it looks, even if it isn't done wear it with pride! It's part of the metal un-uniform! I also have a plain denim jacket and a black leather jacket one of my rockabilly buddies gave me, it is his former gang jacket. The Alley Cat Kings is spray painted on the back, after getting out of that gang he gave it to me wanting to forget it, I put studs in the collar! Its looking good son, looking good! Keep up the good work.

thanks, man. Atleast I have goal in life, besides dyin young through life of excess. That rockabilly jacket sounds awesome too. I really hope I get the chance to have a look at your stuff. Anyplace you know where I can find more patches? I've been looking for a quiet riot and manowar patch for about a year know. I was also thinking about ripping my maiden shirt and using it as a backpatch.

yeah man thats usually what I do. I go to thrift stores alot and look for band t shirts. If I find any that I like I buy them, take them home and cut the band name out or whatever else I want to sew on to the jacket. Band patches you may try typing into a search engine or looking on e bay, its a disappointing fact but there isn't many places who make good genuine band patches anymore, most of mine I had to look on ebay and like you I cut up old shirts. If you want to do it cheap (I am the cheapest bastard alive) go with the shirt thing. Otherwise there maybe smarter posters who know where to get band patches, all I know is I have had a hard time finding them. Good luck though and keep me posted if you find any.

Actually man, my brother says there is a pretty good site that deals with patches it is http://www.rockstarhq.com/patches.htm. I looked at it and they got a pretty cool selection, I don't know if they have a manowar or quiet riot patch. But just avoid the fucking Hanna Montana bull shit patches, christ who would put that on a fucking jacket?! Now I know who Achey Breaky's daughter is, my 7 year old sister likes her, sigh, oh well I just put it down to her being too young to know better. Trust me, she gets a little older I am going to make her listen to real music: Metal!

Hey dorkstarmy sorry to clog up your thread but I know how you can get the Manowar patch, if you haven't yet go to Manowar's official site which is just http://www.manowar.com. Just go to merchandise under special merchandise and they have the patch for sale. I found most of my patches at a used clothing shop in LA called the Iguana clothing company, of course that was in like five years ago. I found my Quiet Riot, Manowar and other patches there. But you can get the exact same patch I have on my jacket just by ordering it off their web site. Good luck and put more pictures up when you get it more complete, I would like to see it and as soon as I figure out my photo program I am going to start posting pictures since everybody hounds me on this site about that! Keep up the good work my man!

Thanks man. Just so you know, I wasn't really planning on getting patches. Some guy bet me 70 bucks for me to get a haircut, so I just agreed. I actually regret getting the haircut, but I'm okay :) I used the money to get 2 shirts and all those patches.

I have my Bowie patch (the same one you got) in the back upper right hand corner. That patch looks bad ass anywhere. Just got a Stryper, Faith No More, Def Leppard, Scorpions, and a Warrant Patch. My jean jacket is almost completely covered now! The Stooges you should bring up front, agree with Rockstarz.

give me a few more weeks, and i would probably get this looking more like a heavy metal vest. it needs more studs, patches, and a few rips. :D
