My guys. I've just signed up to this forum but ive been reading a lot of posts over the last week. I'll give a slight introduction. I'm 19. Im Jonny, live in north east england! Theres bascially a non existant glam scene here so comments like "hey axel" kinda get boring!
Would just like to settle into this community and get feedback from you guys to how i look.

Dude seriously don't go with the fringe option with curly hair you'll just look like a sheepdog. You've already got a pretty kikk ass look goin' down, where boutz in the North east are you?? the glam scene pretty much died up there when the Mayfair closed down.

oh great..thanks Starr...i feel like a sheepdog now....well well, Stockton on Tees...i went through there just the other week to get to Boro.

welcome to the site JohnnyLondon....i'm not all together familiar with the area, but down here i'm not keen on what Boots has to offer and i go to alternative shops for make up. i'd suggest looking around, you never know what you'll find...it's sometimes cheaper too...although quite frankly you look pretty awesome without it.

hope you have an awesome time here anyway. :D

the front part of your hair that covers your forehead is your fringe. to cut it is to well, cut it...some people grow it out into the rest of their hair...others have it at varied lengths in their face.

Aaargh! I was just in Whitby a few weeks ago for Whitby Gothic Weekend! Oh, well.

Anyway, I have bangs, but they just seem to work on me (plus if I grow them out they never seem to "catch up"). My hair is usually a lot curlier than it is in my avatar photo, and it tends to splay outward toward the ends. But I think you're on the right track. See ya 'round!

thanks for all your advice and comments people. much appreciated!

i some times do straighten my hair but some times its just not convenient say if im in a rush on a friday night after getting back from work :( was thinking of heading down the blackie lawless/mick mars style route but like you say i might look like a sheep dog if i dont have time to straighten it hah!!!

Also, if you seriously don't like the curls, you can get a "perm" to straighten it. It isn't hard to do, but make sure that your stylist has experience at it.

Just in case anyone ever sees this: My message above was based on my old avatar (natch). All the problems I describe you can see in action here. (I had to spend literally nearly half an hour just detangling my hair today because I slept on it wrong last afternoon. Oh, well.)

JohnnyLondon you look great.I would not cut layers into it either,UNLESS its bangs and you can gel them sorta-straight.

I have wave in my hair too,and I don't love it (when I tease it I GOTTA keep the bangs down).I use a crimping iron to straighten my hair, then I spray each section before I tease it up.

Any humidity in the air, especially if I'm out dancing and they rain that stupid "snow" (soapsuds) on us,it curls up my hair.Grrrrr pisses me off!

also have curly hair here.. i actually get CURLS though, and it's so annoying!! when it gets wet, they curl up, and some of my hairs go up all curly, and it's really annoying, i found that bangs wer'rent the answer, just layers!! layers worked great!
