Okay, so everyone knows sometimes all those fancy glam clothes can be expensive and ya don't just wanna have ONE cool shirt, soooooooo...shop in the salvation army in the womens section! Yeah, it sounds kinda lame, but thats where I buy most of my clothes at and I get 5 times more than if I bought it all new. Check out my threads if you want and add me: myspace.com/thereeldeel

I think some people would be surprised the things others pitch out. I shopped there for some odd years in high school and always came out looking a little weird, but thats okay I think I have been that way my entire life!

I go in the womens sections at the charity/thrift stores a lot.

It's not often I find something though, it's all old lady clothes! :? Wooly things mostly :|

I was in one time and the woman on the counter shouts right across the shop "The men's clothes are over there"... I just glared at her :D

for people in the uk - primark has some stuff that works for basics like bright coloured skinny jeans, vest tops, loads of awesome jewellery as well like bangles

theres never anything in charity shops or thrift stores when I go in

    Primark is good!

Although they had some awesome black snakeskin-style skinny jeans in there...but only up to size 8 :(

I still go to salvation army for some shopping, especially these days, with the economy still in the shitter and everything, and I have to save some money whenever I can.

I would never shop in the salvation army simply because of the bare faced liars that they are.

On another note, I am absolutely PRO charity/thrift/markets shops.

"One man's rubbish is another man's treasure"

I buy clothes out these places simply for the fabrics to be made into something utterly unique and downright awesome. I make clothes for me friends and generally anyone else that wants a little piece to glam up their lives!

There is nothing lame about buyin women's stuff because at the end of the day, if it makes YOU feel great the to hell with the rest!

I also use ebay a lot, you can get pretty much everything on ebay if you know where to look

vintagebootco is one I love looking at on there. They're not cheap as in shoestring budget, but compared to most vintage boot places they have lower prices, and some really amazing stuff in, and they ship so fast. If you have about a spare £50 lying around to spend on a pair of 80s cowboy boots then I recommend them

the good thing about ebay is you never know what people might have lying around that they want to sell and you can often get vintage 80s clothes for dirt cheap

I just buy whatever I like, regardless of where it is, as long as the price looks about right for what I am getting, and I really couldn't ask for much more than that.

Maybe someone will know this for me, if someone in the UK goes to Primark and gets me some stuff, will the shipping from there to the US kill either of us? I have a friend who could shop for me since she knows what I like, but I am not sure if the clothes = worth the cost of shipping over here to the states. I have heard about this place three times this week so its worth a figure.

Thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales... there are lots of good sources for inexpensive clothes. And, if you're checking out garage sales (or rummage sales like church's have sometimes) if you go into the wealthier areas, you'll get better quality stuff.

it doesnt matter where you buy clothes from as long as you're happy wearin em.
i get alot of mine from asda(a big store in my area that sells everything from food to clothes and they are open 24 hours) and of course primark and if you have a TK max near by they have some pretty cool brands ... i alsso shop at the factory shop because their prices are soooooo affordable you wouldnt believe it.

    so yea

    no future for me!
