lets face it, band shirts are pretty much the easiest way of telling what music someone likes, and there's some awesome glam band shirts out there. So what band shirts do you have? Vintage or repro? What do you want?

I've got a few vintage shirts, a reconstructed 1987 Girls Girls Girls tour shirt, a Look What The Cat Dragged In and AC/DC tour shirt, all from the 80s

I've got a Van Halen and Bon Jovi shirt that I need to reconstruct into better fitting shirts, a WASP one that I've already done and a couple of Crue shirts the same.. and a bunch of KISS and Def Leppard shirts as well

I'm desperate for a Shotgun Messiah shirt at the moment, they're so fucking rare though :/

I've got a Thin Lizzy one, but I dont wear it too much 'cause its just Thin Lizzy and then all black, I like ones with a little more on them to fill out a bit, but I'll probably get another 'Lizzy one :D

I've got a nice Saxon T, and a Whitesnake top that I dont wear -- its XXXL. I wear Extra Small. LOL. I've also got a Led Zeppelin shirt and two Judas Priest t-shirts that are a few sizes to big (I usd to be chubby :P )

I'm going to try and get a vintage WASP tshirt, and some other random Glam Rock tops - Crue, Cinderella, I dont mind. I want a Jefferson Airplane top too, because they're cool! :P

I've got a whole bunch of non-band T-shirts though, that I got in Primark, that I'm gonna customise with rips/tights and fabric sprays :D

I buy XL's and customise them down to fit, that way you get awesome and unique shirts that no one else has

There's a whole bunch of ways, normally I stick the shirt on, pin up the sides so it fits my body then cut off the excess, then sew it up, turn it into a strappy top or whatever.

you can use both sides of the shirt, or get rid of the back and use a different material like zebra or leopard print, do all kinds.

most of the guys I know just rip their shirts a lot, cut the necks off and stuff, do this kinda stuff

i cut mine so they go down lower in the front and wider on the shoulders so i don't look as butch, but i don't trust myself enough to attempt that

i have a poison, dirty penny, def leppard, led zeppelin, pink floyd, nirvana, the doors, iron maiden, velvet underground, kiss, 2 rolling stones, and 2 motley crue shirts.
currently looking for a van halen, black sabbath, another doors, and maybe another crue shirt.
    yeaaaahhh.

My boys are so pretty but yeah, they all need a good roast dinner and several pies.

I always feel a bit bad customising real vintage shirts, in case they go wrong. I dont want to end up with a mutilated, rare shirt that I can't wear

Good thing it's coming up to christmas isn't it lol

Yeah I'm the same I dont like to touch the vintage stuff. I'm getting back into making my own stuff.

I think just wearing an xl with some boots is pretty hot in itself. But when it's customised right it's bloody awesome :D

For the stuff I don't mind ripping is Primark shit. It's thrifty and brilliant for bog standard tshirts!

An XL with a belt round the waist/hips, leggings and boots is definitely a winner.

It just winds me up when you look on ebay and see these badly made custom band tops. I'm not exactly great with a sewing machine but at least the stuff I make don't have raw edges and threads hanging off :/

Aye I think it's basically jumping on the wagon for tshirts eh. That winds me up a bit aswell. It's ok even if your stuff DID have raw edges because you aren't selling them as quality merchandise. Were you at Download this year? (I cant remember) there were literally HUNDREDS of Crue tshirts floating around lol

I was yeah, we were playing a game of "spot the shiny new Motley Crue shirt bought especially for Download" at one point.

Even though I'm not making my shirts to sell, I wouldn't want raw edges on them

I mainly wear my Van Halen one. I have a GNR and WASP one too but I've outgrown them. I like the VH one the best though so that's cool.

I want to customize some of mine, but I am afraid to do something wrong :/ I'm not good at shopping over the internet, so I ended up with two or three too big shirts xD

But I get the basic idea :D I'll try that with the Whitesnake top I think! ^_^ Although I was going to cut it out and use it as a patch.... Hmm.

I've got a lot of bandshirts (ac/dc, wasp, guns n roses, pink floyd, hendrix, iron maiden, golden earring, motley crue, whitesnake) and just wear them till they fall apart. most of the times they get holes on the sleave's so then i ripp the sleaves and neck of. And when they are completely trashed and done i sometimes cut out the print and sew it onto an other shirt or something. Just like i did with my old guns n roses shirt (see below)
And in the summer i just buy a couple of cheap ass black shirts and rip them apart like the picture from bombers post.

Most others are Thrash. Ooooo and I gots me an Anthrax vintage one. Cost me a pinky, a toe, and a Megadeth "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" record

I got rid of the last of my band tops a couple of years ago. I wish I'd kept my early ones including Babylon A.D. and Enuff Z'Nuff but they were fucked by 1992 nevermind 2009.

I've still got my original stone washed denim jacket from '88 but it's really shabby. I've also got my leather from '92 but it looks like the terminator borrowed it as it's got holes in the back and it's gone moldy. The memories those items have...

I don't have too many band tees, and I'm guilty of buying the ones from HMV because I always cut the neckline and if I bought a vintage one, I'd feel so guilty for doing it!! I'm going to soon venture onto eBay and see if I can buy some on there.
