I dress my own style, but I borrow from Glam, Thrash Metal and the Hippie style. I'm a guy that wears high heel boots and makeup for the Glam look minus lipstick, with a denim, leather jacket or a trench coat for the metal look, bellbottom/flared jeans because they are so comfortable and look cool; Cliff Burton the late great bassist of Metallica wore them. I also wear other types of jeans such as skinny and ripped, and an awesome band shirt or when I feel like it a vneck shirt. I am just doing my own style. Not bad for a guy who 2 years ago dressed completely Grunge until he discovered Glam.

Yeah, I was just hanging out with my friend at Download festival when this chick walked up with a microphone, said "hey, you guys look awesome (this was on the sunday, we were glammed out to hell), you mind if I interview you for Download FM about what you're wearing?"
so yeah, my five minutes of sort-of fame there

Hehe, nice work, Zeit. I used to be a steek
Tracksuits and a no. 1 haircut. >_< Glam seems to do that to you. If your going completely one way, it can take you completely the other!Thats cool, Bomber
Did it get recorded or anything? I dunno if they do that, lol. I'd love to hear it ^^

I have no idea, I tried to find it afterwards but got nothing
We got so much attention, we even ended up in Terrorizer magazine for some reason
Posted 2 years ago # -
Hah, really? Thats amazing.
Looking the part gets you far, I guess
Posted 2 years ago # -
Yeah, looking the "part" means you get a lot of attention, either good or bad. I mean, at gigs no one bats an eyelid but wandering through town on a saturday afternoon in spandex, cowboy boots or stilettos, covered in make up and dripping with scarves, then you get some looks

Hahaha! Yep!!
I love the looks people like us get
Its great that you can cause such a stir inside someone from just putting on a jacket and a pair of boots! People get angry, people get worried, people get shocked! Its insane. I dont even dress all that radically, haha. Like, I dont have any Leopardprints on, or anything, usually. I dont even own cowboy boots yet. I'd like to see the reaction people get when they see most GlamRock.com members, or any other Glam Rocker!!
I'd love to go to your town, ya know. When you see someone else Glam in Belfast, its a big event. People have started diaries just to write that down, you know? Haha.

lol awesome!!!!! I get odd glances for my unique style all the time. People look at me like I'm some kind of freak, especially since I live in a very conservative enviornment where nobody has heard of Glam and believe that men have to masculine all the way and and cannot show a feminine side. I wear heels because I like the elevation and I like the feel of them. One time when I was in the mall, this was before I found a pair of bellbottoms, I was wearing some regular stupid bootcut jeans with my stilettos and a black trench coat and this guy that I walked past stared at me in shock and said "Is that a woman? no... no... noooooo!!!!! What the Fuck!!!!!!!" It was pure classic oh my gosh. My friends that I was with were dressed a little gothic with their Tripp pants and they looked at him and laughed. I love all the attention I get. Sometimes older women come up to me and ask "why are you wearing those." I just say "I'm just being myself." A lot of girls that see me around smile and some of them compliment them. I even have a somewhat of a fanbase at the mall with this group of high school kids lol. They love my style

I live a bit of a conservative area, but one of my neighbors are Post-Hippies, with a circus-boy who dresses like a Skater-punk, with a pink mohawk, and juggles fire, on a trampoline, in the front garden.
I'm safe, LOL

my areas shit for anything, there are like hugely noticable divides;
the chavs (smokes weed all day)
the mods (think everyone with long hair smokes weed all day)
the hippies (smoke weed all day)
the rockers (drink all day)There isnt much in the way of glam but i did score a faux afghan in a charity shop, and allmost got some snakeskin trousers

The best places for sleaze rock are thrift stores(preferably in big cities), pawn shops, dollar stores, and costume shops.

Here in my city, I have found some trousers, T-shirts and accessory with those who I have can complete an appearance much more glam.
I have found it in parts as those who indicates aliceinchainzpantera. My T-shirt of guepard printing, did it myself, with fabrics that I found in my birthplace, because here there is not.
Here it is difficult to find wardrobe glam, because predominates the thrash metal, however there is many people to whom please us the big bands of the glam.
Greetings from Arica, Chile.

Anyone know of a place that makes custom leather clothing at a fairly reasonable price?
Posted 2 years ago # -
Theres a girl that floats on here every so often, owns a website called Metalclothing or something? You can find her swashing her links about the place in the earlier pages, hahaha. They do custom gear and one-of-a-kind gear.

ooh back to when you were talking about the other people that live by you guys, here we have NOTHING! Nothing at all. That's why someday i want to move to CA where there will be more glammy people.

If you don't have enough money for cowboy boots, artists such as ZZ top, motley crue and guns n roses are all very well known for wearing a red converse and a black one at the same time.
Or just a pair, of course.Bandanas wrapped around EVERYWHERE is also very important.
And if you're out to attract yourself a mate, don't forget your aviator sunglasses.

For comfort and lotsa walkin,I love my zebra hitops. No fancy brand,I got them on a 3 for 10 dollar sale at Rainbow Stores.
Today I went out, trying to go get my photo ID made *finally* (but the machine was broken when I got there grrr).
I wore a black denim miniskirtt, black rufled sleeve gothic looking longsleeve shirt,2 black studded belts on my hips,a handmade waist belt of bats joined with keyrings and a drawstring closure. And black footless thigh high stockings, and white socks for the shoes.
It was so warm out today I carried my short leather jacket and after awhile I took off my zebra scarf.(Tho it looked kewl)

If you have scizzors, safety pins, studs, and sandpaper; it's possible to do ANYTHING to your clothes. I live in a small town, so finding clothes is harder than fuck. We only have 3 stores in our fucking mall!! I have to search everywhere from thrift stores, outlet stores, accessory stores(Clares, dollar stores, etc.), and even Wal-Mart. I do have a few band shirts from Hot Topic and shit, and a couple of leather & denim jackets from my mom & aunt when they were 80's rockers. It took me 3 years just to get the shit I have now.

If I want to glam it up a tad, some thick black eyeliner and mascara do the trick for the eyes... A band tee, slightly frayed shorts, and canvas flats can make for a good look. With my current haircut, I straighten the sides that are long and the back that's been cut rather short can be jazzed up with a bit of gel
