I see in alot of the other post people say to dress glam you need vintage, you need specialist shops, you need the internet, you need money... This isnt the case glam is about creativity...

Shoes: Cowboy boots are a must, these can be expensive but hey that all that'll cost alot. Accessorise with chains, handcuffs, bandanas

Trousers: Go to primark, buy some cheap skinny jeans in different colours then customise them with ripd fishents, ripd animal print tights, other colourfull and odd designed tights (make sure the colours go together)

Tee's: Black works with everything. You dont need any special designs, just skulls, guns etc etc. Customise them yourself n' awl with fabric spray paints. Just go wild, go into primark, get one of their black tee's with some kinda design on them, cut the arms off, make a few holes etc etc

Jackets: Leather is a must. Lots of bits hanging from them, tasells, buttons etc etc. A personal favourite of mine is also fur

Accessories: Fishnet/animal print fingerless gloves (I cut the bottoms of my tights), lots of bracelets (again you can get thousands from primark). Rings, hoop earings, necklaces all acceptable. Belts are essential, you should try to have a large shiny belt buckle and I go for two other belts crossed over. Neck thingys, around a belt loop or yar neck. Aviator sunglasses are also important.

Hair: Big! Long at the sides, block fringe, all up at the back top and back sides

Makeup: Eyeliner, lipstick, war paint. Go wild!

And of course to complete the look, a bottle of jak and a cigarette...

Primark? Damnn and I never went there cause I didn't think they did good clothes!

Been looking around for some nice cowboy boots for ages, can't get them anywhere but ebay for a reasonable price, and then I can't try them on. I'll find em one day...

More on the jackets... try a denim jacket with the sleeves cut off, and sew loads of patches/bits of leather/denim/anything on, when it's cold wear it over your leather jacket.

You know the best way to get your dress-on? Go to your local thrift store! You'd be amazed at the stuff you find for so cheap, and then customize it to your liking..

personally I think Aquanet is a must for your hair. If your looking to tease it and have it stay in place Aquanet is the way to go. Besides its cheaper than most of the other sprays and gels out there.

I'm glad I scored a can of REAL aqua-net just bfore the KISS Expo!Oh...in NYC Chinatown I scored footless Hello Kitty tights (Hot pink cats) which I cut off below the crotch to make into thigh highs.I also scored black with silver stars, and red thigh highs with giant black polka dots....and more kinds of black opaque stockings. And big hotpink disk earrings made from shells. And lavendar "a cross between crocketed and fishnet" stockings I cut from tights.AND....in Atlantic City I found 2 tote bags I convert into purses, that are either black or white with black, white and hot pink skulls and crossbones and little stars on them....5.99 each if you can believe that.I have a hot pink "to large for a human collar, too small for a human belt" studded strap I use to make these tote bags into small purses.I wore the black one to Type O with the Hello Kitty stockings and a black lace Gothic Lolita type minidress, cinched in extra tight to show more leg!

Glam is what it is. Ecentric. I believe its all about just going wild with what you are comfortable with.

Primark was a godsend but you cant rule out charity shops, markets, etc. Even old clothes you already have can be made into whatever you like.

Thank the lord for fishnet tights and motley crue lol

Yeah you are right. There are some things that can look pretty normal but if you have creativity and imagination you can make it glam!

Someone previously made a very good point. Its not WHAT you wear its HOW you where it. Open the mind away from that "emo" tag. If you like fishnets (like me  ) wear em! And i still love skulls and all that jazz.

charity shops are only good if the people who actually donate clothes to them have decent clothes! most of the people who give in their cast offs are old, or the clothes given are just plain ugly

Buy XL mens band shirts, and customise them. Unstitch the sides and re-sew them to fit a girl's body (or smaller mens if you want!), take the sleeves off, add straps, buckles, whatever.

Also, cheap skinny jeans + cheese grater and sandpaper = go nuts.

^ Cheese grater? Thats genuis! I never thought of that!!

One thing I'm doing now is getting a T-shirt I bought (and love :D ) and tearing three claw tears down the front torso of it, and then sewing in a section of stretched tights on the inside, and then making a template of claw tears and using orange-brown and dark brown fabric sprays in a sort of Coonstail way to cross over with it, but off-centre. It's gonna look really cool, I can feel it :D

I make a lot of accessories with cheap animal fur and netting I get in craft shops, actually, and leather substitutes my mum steals from the Nursery she works in, hahaha!

I paint denim jackets for a hobby, this one being my baby that I wear everywhere

I got interviewed on Download Radio for wearing this jacket with a Whitesnake flag as a skirt, the Cinderella and Guns n'Roses patches are almost as old as I am :/
