My favorite is "Turn it Down"...come on, HIT ME!!
Awesome bass line in that song.

That sure is a tough one. Turn It Down is an awesome song and probably one of Sweet's heaviest songs, next to "Set Me Free" which I don't like at all.

But my all time favorite must be "Lies In Your Eyes" which was off the Give Us A Wink album.

Sweet have got so many good songs that it oftentimes hard to choose. Also, I do have a soft spot for "Co Co" it's cheesy, innocent and infectious.

I like "Wig Wam Bam" too. Too many Sweet songs, too little time.

Fox On The Run and I'm not talking the studio version on Desolation Boulevarde. I'm talking the form that made it a hit. Simply a great song.

    SET ME FREE Hand down!!

But with Sweet there are way too many great classics to mention as a favorite. I've always loved The Sixteens. and stuff like Funny Funny & Co Co are great too! But apparently there's doubt as to whether they played on these early ones. But they are fantastic glam pop songs regardless.

Other irresistable classics inlcude: Action, Hell Raiser, Teenage Rampage

Blockbuster is an OK song. Wouldn't rank it high on a list of all time Sweet favorites but the thing that got me about back when I was a kid, was the air raid siren at the start.

Ever since hearing that, I associate air raid sirens with rock and roll and not running for cover.

Talk about running for cover, Gary Moore played the Paradise in about '88 which was one of the last shows as a glam rocker before he 'retired' to play the blues.

Anyways, before he came on, the theater dimmed and the air raid sirens started up. Not only did it reinforce, it was awesome..................

BTW, if I was in a place that was under bombardment, I'd be the guy outside making the fist, punching the sky and yelling "yeah".

I heard they banned that song from airing on the radio in England when it first came out.

Yep, Aniseed, they banned it because of that line, "God aweful..." It was deemed 'unsuitable for family listening'!! How lame is that!!!?!?!?!?

Don't be sorry, S-man, Charlotte and I are best buds on either side of the Atlantic. She's in England and I am in the USA. She's also a HUGE Sweet fan - Steve Priest in general! (How do I know?)
    'Cause we're best cyber-buddies!

Hey, S-man...can you record a cover of "Miss Demeanor" for Char...and post it up for a profile song?
    ;)

I'll still always have a special fondness for wig wam bam because of the outfits in the video. Especially the minihaha skirt.
    Steve Priest had great legs.
