Anywhere in the world.... Which places hold fond memories/play the best music/have you enjoyed many lost nights at? Places long gone or still alive and kicking......
Me, I have three (because I'm greedy!). First, Trillians in Newcastle, a suitably dark underground bar with live music and really friendly regulars who made a southerner like me feel at home. Secondly, the original Bogiez in Cardiff, where I spent my formative glam years - oh, the memories...well, the vague bits I CAN remember - so many years, and drinks, later......
Finally, my first place goes to Hellfire in London, the sweatiest, sleaziest club on earth, sadly now loooong gone. The ultimate location for glam star spotting, hot boys and girls and getting not so elegantly wasted on a Saturday night in London circa 1990....
    .....So, what's yours?!

Come to the UK, you could've been legally drinking in bars for a year already! :-)

Definitely have to be The Pitz in Milton Keynes (UK).

Nice intimate venue, used as a school sports hall during the day, I've seen Skid Row, both LA Guns and Love/Hate there plus a few other decent bands. The bands always sign stuff and meet fans after - I guess the backstage provisions aren't any good

Long Gone today but back in the 80s The Stone in San Francisco on Broadway right along the strip clubs side of the street was the killer club. Saw lots of badass bands there. Ace frehley, Lita Ford, Alice Cooper, Laaz Rocket, Deathangel, Motorhead, WASP and many others. Only held maybe 200 people too. I got fucked up for the first time during a show there. I was only 15 or 16, it was around 1985 and they sold me beer anyways. After maybe 5 beers I was spinning. Thoes were the days ..

Another was One Step Beyond in San Jose, California. Saw The Ramones , Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks , Ronnie Spector, Blondie, alot of bands. Its also sadly gone today. Once grunge came in it pretty much wiped the hard rock/ metal scene off the map including the clubs.

The Omni was in Oakland. A farm club for upcomomng bands. Nobody bands would perform there and get signed. The downfall to The Omni was its location. You cant have a rock n roll club in the middle of gangland/crackwhore central.
