I am a equipment and lighting technician for the local channel 7 news at chamber communications. I put up and adjust the lights for broadcast and make sure the lighting is right on the anchors. After all the broadcasts are over I check in all the equipment to make sure it is working properly. Also maintain the news vans, fix the satellites, and go out to locations to help with the camera work. Me and the weekend sports guy "Fleshy" are in to glam and we always yell "Come on Feel the Noize!" When we see each other, the anchors not understanding just shake their heads.

I work a bar/bistro at a pub in my town. I poor drinks, collect meals and do a hell of a lot of other semi-interesting things. Luckily, I start a law degree next year.

- RattelSnakeYeah it is alot of hard work and it gets boring sometimes, but when we have a huge breaking story, it's just fucking nut case! All the anchors are shitting their pants, the production staff run around looking like their going to vomit all over their clothes, the crew and I feel like were going to piss our jeans. So sometimes its fun and interesting or boring, sometimes its scary and interesting. Puts a roof over my head.

- MickMarsBartending isn't the dream you think it will be. Unless you work at a really cool rock club you're gonna be hassled about your hair and receive all the silly comments. Plus, you have to talk to all the weirdos that come in.

I'm a stay at home mom. But, on the side, I also do some article writing and sell them on the internet. My boys are 11 and 8 and keep me busy.

Most days I run around in circles like a chicken with its head cut off. I have dabbled in all types of jobs but I do best when I get to yell at people so that is what I do now. Some call me a coordinator, some call me.....

Oh, darn. Can I change my profession? I just got a job offer yesterday. It's time for this lady to go back to work after raising my kids for 10 years. I don't wanna!

I teach Rock'n'Roll. Yeah, to kick ass on the guitar. If any of those kids I teach ever make it, I'd be really proud.

So does everyone here love or hate their job? I was told long ago that it is never "work" unless you "hate it"...I wonder of that applies to all jobs.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I'm a homemaker. I do computer stuff for a little extra cash, but nothing that would qualify as a job. I'd love to go back to work, but I have some medical issues that stop me.

- RattelSnakei went through childcare and worked with kids since i was 15yrs old, im now heading towards 23yrs of age and about to take my Level 3 in childcare...apart from that
i am an artist majoring in abstract, watercolor, acrylic etc.. i am also a guitar player and leader of a band alled ssp... i was in a band before that but from the start i was solo and found it hard so me and a few friends started a band but it slowly broke down to just 3 of us then i had bust up with them both and we went seperate way ... last years i turned round to one of them who im on good terms with and said that i missed band life and wanted to put a fresh one together and call it sinister spirit prophecy(SSP) so i did , but, we were missing bassist and drummer so i asked around a while... then i contacted my cousin and her friend(who is now my friend too) and told them my idea and they said they were wanting to join a band or something so i suggested they take a trip into the studio with me... so i had my cousin on bass, her friend on drums and the other member on rhythm guitar but there was a catch - we had an extra bassist(my brother) but he only last for one rehearsal so we are now a 4 piece and the bond between us cannot be broke by any means.

My job sucks but it pays the bills. My boss tries to make the best of a fucked up thing. He's first generation chinese and took all of us to lunch. It was this oold converted victorian house. We are in the middle of san franciscos chinatown , go into this resturant , walk right throught the kitchen and up two flights of stairs. He orders some shit from the menu since its pretty much all in chinese. The waiter sends down the order on a dumbwaiter to the kitchen below. Up comes the food and then he busts out with this wind up porclin windup chinese music box, he cranks the thing up and it starts playing some asian song, then out of the back 9 hands come out each holding a red envelope. We each take one and there's a 100 dollar bill inside. This week begins the celebration of the Chinese New Year and its supposed to bring good luck if you receive the red envelope ( Ang Pow ). This year is the year of the dragon. The parade is next week I think. My boss does his best to make a messed up job a little better.
