    Love this show! Remember watching it on Mtv when I was a kid, that was when Mtv was slightly watchable, in the 80's, then it was on Comedy Central. It was a BBC show: Neil the Hippie, Vyvyan the metal headbanger/punk rocker, the political Punk Rick and Mike the Preppie are room mates and all go to Scumbag College. Slapstick, craziness and music abound! It was the only metal and punk themed show I can think of in that era, nothing else comes to mind. Motorhead guested on that show and it was hilarious, will get the boxed set someday. If you haven't checked it out yet try youtube.

    Never knew it was on MTV. Loved it as a kid in the 80's, then watched it again after been a student and OMFG! Oh yes, can appreciate it on a different level too.
    Pretty much kickstarted the Alternative comedy scene into popular culture, and then into the western world...

    Yeah in the states thats where it was on in the 80's was Mtv at night. My dad was a huge fan of that show being a musician so I watched it with him. When I was a kid I just laughed with my dad not knowing what I was laughing at and like you when I was in college the jokes made more sense. Great show. Yeah SickThing Neil is one of my faves too, I feel bad for him, he just gets beat up on and made fun of by everybody, kind of like me except I dress more like Vyvyan!

    I got the complete box set of this for xmas from my brother.

    Just one of the best comedies ever. :lol:

    I must have watched each episode at least 5 times allready. :D

    I loooove the Young Ones. Got all the episodes on DVD!
    I've dressed up as Vyvyan for parties on many occasions. Easily one of the best shows created.
    The Damned were featured on there too. :)
